Explorer has torpedo/disruptor slot, but can only mount disruptor, there goes my sunslayer torp. lol
Could have mounted that in the new 'auxillary weapon' slot, but it would have ruined the balance of the ship, gotta have them FOUR guns!
Heavy turret mounts on the Borderworld (Civilian) GB, nice, but where do I find those and what is going to be heavier than the two Cerbs I already have?
Something new to go 'discover' when I have the time.
TBH, I don't find this update any good for the mod.
It applied considerable, unannounced changes to the mod that affected some gameplay mechanics in a way that new players would be left at a disadvantage.
Firestalker, Sidewinders and Sunslayers didn't need to be removed, yet were. Their counters are pretty well known, not to mention widespread, giving some diversity to their playing styles. Instead of outright removing them, you could have reduced their ammo count. Not to mention that it is easier on the new players to use, but without them, chances are now they would mostly be fish in the barrel for the PVP pros to hunt down.
It's also a point that can be noticed by how mines were buffed, considering those weapons are most often used by PVP pros than the more rookie newcomers who might as well have a greater chance of being blown up by their own mines, either by mistake or by being CD'd by the more skilled players, and now that snub slots have basically been reworked into being "utility" fighters, then it could happen more often.
And no, "git gud" would not work as a proper response to this issue, in fact I believe it should be noticeable enough by now why it wouldn't be. New players wouldn't exactly come here expecting to need to spend several weeks in Conn just so that they can have a chance against other players outside of it without getting badly outmatched.
Yay now I can be a torpedo shitter while at the same time retaining my CD!
P.S. At low player count the Sunkiller is frighteningly efficient.
P.P.S. @Antonio Did have a fight vs the new Screamers with Rax. Now they're way more threatening if you screw up and the mine trap ends up hitting you with the mine really close, while still not being annoying spam that you can hardly dodge without putting more effort into it than actually shooting the bomber. I like the change, wonder how it will feel versus caps as well given Screamer is back at 20K+ shield dmg.

Time to get missile+solaris gunboats or tripple missile cruisers. I honestly don't care anymore if I get piled on in a snub/bomber or in a capital, so there is that. ;3
Not a fan of taking away the only weapons that have made me not completely useless in snub PvP, though. Taking away those two missiles completely is like expecting Mexico to pay for the wall.
Hey, @Haste, now that every VHF has 2 slots - 1 torpedo, 1 CD, what happens to the special HFs that had that to make them unique and had a penalty of 2 guns less? What will happen with Gladiator/Outcast-equivalent/Barracuda?
