Greetings to the Esteemed Elders of the Corsair Empire,

We recently received and accepted an offer from who I believe could be a mutual friend of ours- The Unioners. They have offered us a surplus 'Hel'-Class cruiser, however not only is it surplus, is an incomplete ship. However, this is no small fighter-craft nor freighter, and any substantial work on it requires the use of a dry-dock. Most of which are part of lawful shipyards within the houses, yet as I'm sure you know, most Navy and Police forces react quite... vehemently to anything with the words "Pirate" and "Cruiser", so a combination of the two would be most unwelcome. In time, we hope to rectify this, but getting the ship working is our first priority. As such, you are the best, if not only, group that could help us out in this situation.

Our first request, and perhaps the most vital one, is your permission to fly this vessel within your space, as per section V of the Laws of the Corsair Empire, points 25 and 26 regarding flying non-corsair warships. Beyond the points raised later on in the message, we are asking to fly this vessel both to escort our transports to and from your space, as well as to hunt our enemies, namely the Red Hessians, but also Mollies and anyone else that tries to mess with us and other freelancers.

As for the vessel itself, we are requesting your assistance to finish the vessel off and prepare it for full-scale operation. We are prepared to ship in any supplies needed, whether they be material or purely financial, as well as covering for any lost wages, or production while efforts are diverted to our ship, and for the assistance of your fine shipwrights. Additionally, if there is anything else we can do to help the Corsair Empire while receiving your aid, we would be more than happy to help you back.

Now, for what the ship needs, our contact with the Unioners, Gunda Riehl, tells us that the ship needs Weapons, a neural net Identification and source of Mox fuel, preferably Thorium-based. We can handle the creation of a neural net identity ourselves, and perhaps the fuel source, but the weapons are where we will really need your help. However, we are aware of your policy in regards to sharing your weapons, so despite their superior quality, we aren't going to ask any as of this time, and instead go for the standard "BCS-GEN" cruiser turrets, the materials for which we will either bring in to the shipyard, or have constructed off-site, if it is possible to do without raising too many questions. All that would remain is for your engineers to install them on the ship. Lastly, the fuel source. While I'm sure your raiders bring in enough fuel for your own fleets, be it Mox from Rheinland and Bretonia, or H-Fuel from the Sigma's, we wouldn't and couldn't expect you to then bring in more fuel for our ship, so we will handle the supply of fuel ourselves, most likely from ALG, as they have quite the reputation for good quality Thorium-Mox. However, in the end, any assistance in this project, no matter how small it is, will be greatly appreciated.

Hal class combat ship, you say? With our weapons? On Hal? For being used by loco freelancer flying party? Aaaahahahahahaaaa! *trying... not.*

Look, Senor... *taking a breath* What our weapons can do with that ship is just one thing: ripping it apart. So be mucho careful when entering our turf with it. Better find some fine TBH escorts, or Imperial auto-defence systems will take care you go home in escape pods.

However... I will recommend you to our Unioner friends. They will know how to mount some nice guns on that ship. And if you still miss Corsair weaponry, I can gladly ask them to paint barrels to khaki yellow, aaahahahahahhhaaaa!

*sighs dejectedly* Well, that is quite the shame, El Comisario Pepe. We had hoped the might Corsair Empire could help us in this matter but it seems not. In any case, we will try and get an escort from The Brotherhood if we ever have to pass through your home. I'm sure we can figure out a quick way of asking for an escort over the net. A recomendation to the Unioners would be appreciated, but I doubt they would want to work more on the ship, giving how they would, to quote "much rather see the arse end of her, pretend she don’t exist". In any case, I'm sure we'll figure something out about getting weaponry onto the ship.
