Jessica Rainer Planet Moros, Omicron Lost Subject: Pickup
This thing working already, goddamnit... can't be so hard... viola.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
nice to speak to you and welcome to the hellhole this damn planet is. Name's what you can read in the transmissions header. Now that we got the formalities out of the way, it looks like I ran into a little problem here where your assistance will come in handy. Calling you from this godforsaken place to let you know that I took this transmitter from one of your soldiers. Pretty much dead I'd say, shot by some random Order squadron that was around here for reasons nobody will ever know. Turned out they were not so randomly equipped, which caused the deaths of your men and days worth of fighting until eventually everyone was watching the surface closely enough to not be considered alive anymore. Leaves me as the sole survivor and I'd prefer it stays that way, which is where you come into all of this. You send over a dropship to pick me up, that'd be charmingly nice of you. And before you ask, yes, we were trespassing and yes, we were collecting artifacts. Whilst we're at it, have your rescue squad bring a batch of recruitment papers with them, I'll fill them out on our way back. I assume you know how to contact me, I'll look at surviving this collapse of a mission until your arrival.

Ms. Rainer, you say you were trespassing and you want us to send a rescue party and also take you into our ranks?
You're confident, arrogant and bold.
I like it, very much so.
A shuttle has been dispatched and I'm sending a recruiter to interview you. She even shares your name. Coincidence? I think not.
Keep in mind, she's ex-order. Seeing her previous compatriots might really upset her, or cheer her up. Most likely the latter.
Either way, if the interview goes smooth and you both live, report directly to me at the "Mad Mako". VIP Lounge, of course.
I'd like to meet an actual treasure hunter in person and discuss what exactly you were after.
~Yours Truly, Jack Daniels, exalted Guildmaster of the Core and the most hated person in the Omicrons.

Screw with a Vorax's pipe, this actually reached you.
Now, that's a novum for a brand of whisky actually calling me. Better send someone after your recuiter who got a bottle or two stuffed in their backpack, I take them when they arrive. Charge it off as a welcome gift. Weather turned rather inhospitable, a stormfront is pressing dangerously close and this wreck of a shuttle won't hold it much longer. Give it a day or two. That means you better move your damn rear ends and get me out of here. Once I had a shower and my dress uniform donned, I guess taking a moment to hang out with you is in order.

As the sun was setting over the wreck, thunder and the screams of an engine echoed throughout the site.
The Perditrix, Daniels' flagship ship, emerged from one of the ridges, closely followed by an escort of two almost identical gunships. It violently touched down, almost scrapping the surface. As the Mako settled, a landing shuttle swiftly deployed Scarlet near Rainer's position.
The red head calmly got out of the ship, wearing a weird combo of shorts, combat gear and an awfully worn gas mask.
A black berret had somehow found it's way on top of her messy hair.
Scarlet approached Rainer and examined the other woman, it was somehow obvious she was smiling under the mask.
She then handed the other Jessica a bottle of whiskey and recruitment papers.
"Tell me, Rainer, which is more important? Dying for your boss or killing for them?
This is the only question of your interview, so you better get it right."
Scarlet stared into Rainer's eyes and awaited the answer. However, this was a very unusual move, usually Jessica kept the interview formals and asked a whole lot of series of questions to determine the nature of the person she's talking to.
But things were different now. She knew the person on the other side was tough enough to survive or cunning enough to kill all the witnesses. One way or another, she was core material and Scar knew that.
She's chilling inside the wreck of the shuttle they came to this forgotten place at the end of known universe, legs crossed on the desk infront of her where they used to sit together drinking, having their meals, joking and arguing. Over payments, the mission, siblings that'll get screwed by members of the team once they would return to civilization. There used to be laughter, everyone speaking to drown out the others. Now there's just her and the neverending clanging of small rocks thrown at the shuttles hull by the ongoing outside storm. When the monotony of background noises and her working her nails with a combat knife is suddenly broken thanks to the thunderous reverberation the Mako gave away shortly before knocking the ground and shaking up the place.
"About time."
The shuttle's hatchway dropped with a dull impact on the surface, the stirred up dirt isn't even remotely recognizable as the storm instantly claws itself towards the inside of the hold, bringing everything from aforementioned dirt, dust and rocks with it inside. Jessica's standing one arm leaned at the airlocks frame checking for the outside. A cloth covers her mouth and nose, She doesn't really expect any danger, the shuttles scanner arrays had clearly identified the guests as Core. As her visitor approached it was easy to see her rather raw outfit. Not unlike to hers. She posed a terrible look, the cargo pants cut open on the right leg multiple times, shreds fluttering in the wind, her upper body armor of cheap design and rough but it did the job well enough, various dents and shrapnels that that stuck speak of that. Because she's still alive. Taking the bottle and papers, she punches the control switch that'll close the doors, draws down the cloth and instantly puts her attention at getting the whisky open and down her throat. After several hefty slugs she leans on the armrest of one of the seats that're usually for the team before getting dropped off.
"Name's Berlin, nobody calls me Rainer. You get the job done, stay alive to get to it the next day some more. Gets you paid. Gets your bosses what they paid for. Return to base and repeat."
She stares back and by now the other Jessica must've noticed by now that she since they met never took her hand off the holstered gun. An awkward moment of silence follows which doesn't seem to impress her that much and finally she's giving her attention away to more slugs from the bottle.

Scarlet smiled under the mask, nodded a few times and got onto the shuttle.
"True that. Fill the recruitment form so we can make this official. I'll make sure it's swiftly processed."
As the shuttle flew into the Perditrix's docking bay, the Mako's engines roared back to life with a deafening thunder.
The Mako lifted almost as violently as it landed and began it's ascend through the atmosphere.
She hasn't much to catch, her rifle and a shoulder bag. A short sprint and she's aboard the shuttle where she's filling out the papers given to her.

"Good puppy. Have fun with that, I'm going to get me a good screwing and a shower. You drop by for some action."
That moment the shuttle has landed on the Mako, which is taking off right away just as furious as it came down, and she's headed to the shuttles doors.
