This is the case in most, if not all, the dev sections.
Alley had a similar problem trying to reach King Boo when deadlines and problems arose.
The admin team and the dev team might want to have a serious talk one of these days, the sooner the better.
I'm not sure what you want the admin team to do here as this is purely development issues.
Admins currently weigh in on dev decisions.

It's more like they don't communicate rather, an admin would interfere with economy if it interferes with an ingame event of sorts(to create a hotspot) or to implement a faction perk request
*or to fix a route that would've gave too much credits before a patch would be deployed (like i had to do once)

You seem to severely underestimate the communication there is between devs and admins when it comes to changes that impact the server, especially the economy. It is natural some requests will get the admins to ask the devs if the request isn't going to screw over the economy (hello we're not all top level bank traders), just like the devs may ask if a request/change seems good if something in it makes them frown.
@Legionnaire *
I have told you many times in the past (and at least once to the whole community) that Maurice and Wildkins are on extended leave, so of course they will not be responding. I have also communicated with you over private channels frequently, particularly with why Xoria was busy until mid-March. As for why he continues to not communicate well with you, I do not know, because he expressed interest in working with you during December when we were in the hiring phase still. He should pay closer attention to that chat, and on that point, you are not wrong.
However, I have explained this whole situation to you already. In posting a public complaint, you should have at least worded it a bit more responsibly with the information you have been told. Yes, there needs to be a change, but let's be informed first because starting a thread as you have will devolve parts of it to flood, as it has, which is very unproductive.
There needs to be a better method for mining developers to work, and I have talked with Xoria about this many times. Demanding that we fire Xoria, however, is not the solution. He has extensive knowledge of the economic system of Discovery Freelancer, which is no easy feat considering that there are tens of thousands of trade routes. What needs to happen instead, is for him to step up and properly train a mining developer, and perhaps take a new assistant commodity developer under his wing since Wildkins is away.

Xoria does not do "very little" for Discovery.
@Auzari
(first page post) That has been something I have been pushing for, believe me.
(more recent post) The Department Head Developers are in a chat together, but the Admins are not present, since that's for internal matters. They are however also in another channel - an official collaboration chat with the Admins. (I'm in over a dozen group chats in total, probably.)
@TheShooter36, @eigos
Many of the development departments are in fact not having this issue, but I suppose I must take more time out of my day to justify/explain everything again.
The Story group is running smoothly, especially with Lunatic's recent return. Systems are running well, and they have two trainees who are being well supervised by Xalrok. PvP Balance is currently undergoing a restructure of sorts, as was Models but that became a bit more complicated with Durandal's very recent move. Effects needs to increase its internal efficiency, but isn't having the problems of the Economy department. And the Server/Coding group has recently been running the best it ever has, despite being without a direct leader in King Boo's absence.
@Impyness
You are correct in that the Economy group needs to have more active members again, but incorrect in that the "devteam is limited to a rather small number of people," given that the modern Development Team as a whole has the largest staff and is the most productive it has ever been.
*Forum quotes? Ain't nobody got time for that!
I'm sorry if that doesn't respond fully to everyone, but I am pressed for time this evening. I am willing to further explain matters as needed, yet in the meantime let's be civil, productive, and most importantly, understanding of all sides.
