Correct.. but the Phantoms work for the C'Tan. Whether the SK are aware of that is a different story that could heavily impact their relations, one way or the other.

And yes, I should have said "SK in Sirius". The non-Sirius SK are largely an unknown, out-of-game entity that's hard to quantify.

Oh yeah, is there a link somewhere to Taurvi's background? From forum-trolling I know that Taurvi leads the Slomon K'Hara in Sirius, is really powerful (both backed up yesterday in-game), but that's about it.

That link posted above and mostly went throughout HF message dumps. Frozen's "The Gift" story, once final chapters published, they will explain a lot. A few twists remaining, but everything will tie up. Don't want to spoil it, so just wait and read then.

I didn't see anything in the HF message dumps... am I blind, or did I just miss something in skimming the last ~20 pages of it?
