Greetings Miss Aguilar.
As you have seen in the reports, I am chief engineer Adams and am overlooking the works on the Aphanta. For your question, we are already ahead of you. This AI that we developed can be set in the Aphanta AI as an upgrade, or it can be installed separately, Any way works and it does not change the startup sequence in any way other than stated in the last transmission. The data you requested upon the AI has been sent in this transmission. The code of work is binary because EVE mainly worked on the AI and its really simple.
This is the whole code that will be used on your ship. We made sure that it is fully compatible with its systems. Physical data storage has also been given to your engineers for study.

Indeed, our system engineer said everything is fine, Mr. Adams.
Let's finish this. I heard people have complained about the Apahanta still being a permanent guest of Livadia. Like, someone had a plant in her room and the Mako was taking away the sunlight. The girl sent me a bill for her dead plant. Bought her a new one.
And a lamp.
So, I guess we can start the real tests in the next days?

The main tests can start tomorrow already. Here is what will you do:
Tomorrow somewhere at noon hours, leave the dry dock and set yourself in the are of Livadia shipyard.
After that, restart your ship with the new upgraded AI.
After the whole process is complete, you will start up your cloak.
You will stay cloaked for the next 24 hours to ensure that everything goes smooth.
After that, we will do some reporting paperwork and you are free to fly out of this hell hole.
All unneeded personnel has been transfered to Livadia. Everything has been triple-checked into detail. This is the work of more than eight months. It better doesn't disappoint for good.
The ship will leave the dry dock in ten minutes. We'll keep all channels open for double-checks on the Apahanta and from Livadia. Wish us luck.

I think we're fine. The Start-up didn't blow the ship up. Time for some wine. After all, all we can do is waiting 24 hours to see if it works. We just passed the 15 minutes mark, the ship is still cloaked and the cooling systems are alright. The cloak runs as predicted.
Since the shields won't protect us for the next 24 hours, we used some internal shielding to lower the radiation of Omicron Kappa. In the end of the day, however, we'll all need to take a few anti-rad pills. We're prepared, though.
We're still connected with Livadia and checking the live feed of four cameras all the time.

Good news, we're still alive. The cloak work perfectly for the first 24 hours, so we added another few hours. Of course the ship shouldn't ever be cloaking for that long, but the stress test shows that everything is under control. I'm actually surprised. I thought the recuperators would meld away over time, but they kept working. The new power grid layout really makes a difference.
What we noticed is the cruise engines also work perfectly well - we were able to make a round around Kappa. Maximum speed is still 350 metres per second. No speed loss. Basically because the Apahanta's power core lies between the engines and the cloaking device. I guess if the energy would have needed to be relayed through the same lines, that would have affected either the cloak or the engines, if not both. The fact that the Mako uses multiple smaller engine tubes instead of one big and heavy one might be handy as well, as that allows to place more recuperators around them, which was done six months ago. All in all, it works exactly as we wanted it, and that is all that matter for me right now.
The next tests will be about how quickly the cloaking device can recharge after a sudden cooldown. There might be situations where it is required to try it multiple times, for example in a combat situation that involves cruise disruptors. I take it the cloak will still be affected by those, as the little ripples caused by the CD-explosion tend to eff up the charging process. This will be an even more dangerous test, I guess, as we need to risk the same start-up sequence multiple times. I do have full trust in the AI upgrade by the IRG, though. Paid enough money and time for that to finally work.
The next tests start tomorrow at 13.00 PM. In the meantime, everyone should take a few moments in the decontamination chambers and a few anti-rad pills.
