If you'd like to join the ranks of Custodi, make sure you've familiarised yourself with the faction lore and important documents as well as joined the Corsair Discord server. You can then respond to this thread with the following form filled out.

Guidelines

• Character naming usually references Greek, Cypriot or Greek-themed names, so please use one of those if you want to RP your character as one coming from the Custodi society. It is possible that a non-Custodi (non-Greek-named) character will be accepted, but your chances are significantly lowered.

• Before posting in the thread, make sure you've familiarised yourselves with the essential faction lore documents, including Faction Information for general information about the Custodi, The High City of Heraklion for information on how the Custodi society is formed and how their largest city prospers as well as The Cult of Archangels for information on the belief system of the Custodi.

Biography:

One of the orphans that grew up in the city of Heraklion, Argus understands what it is to be both poor and alone. Taught basic education by the orphanage keepers, Argus developed a healthy interest in space and all things stellar when a lesson touched on the great unknown. Driven by a desire to learn and explore, Argus sought out any and all information he could that dealt with the void. Fascinated by tales of battles and discovery, he collecting what few credits he could by scrounging, begging and stealing, setting these precious few valuables aside in hopes of one day owning his own ship and exploring the universe.

As Argus matured, so to did his methods. Leaving a life of begging and petty crime behind, he took to working the fields of Attica's extensive farms, earning an honest, if meager wage. Taking an interest in the world around him, Argus began to attend the meetings of the Ecclesia, interested in the topics of the debates. Too young to vote on any raised matters, and confined to a mere spectator's role, Argus found himself both encouraged and disheartened by the debates. Seeing members of the assembly voting on important matters while having no real experience with the topic was discouraging, but also led Argus to believe that more members of the Custodian populace needed to take an interest in the galaxy around them.

His self belief's were confirmed when he bore witness to a Custodi pilot speak in the Ecclesia at great length about events in the Corsair empire. Now 29, and with enough money finally saved to take to the stars, Argus began to set his long pondered plan in motion, and took the first steps to fulfilling his childhood dream. Long able to afford one of the lighter ships, Argus had set his sights on a Correo freighter, his desire to make a difference in Custodian society was one that would be grounded in experience.

What are your goals with the Custodi?:

Seeking to make a difference in the society he had grown up in, Argus seeks to earn the experience he believes is needed in the Ecclesia by traversing the stars. While he is too young to actively partake in the debates now, he is determined to ensure that when he does speak, he speaks with first hand knowledge of the topic. An orphan, Argus lacks a high standard of education, similar to most of the Custodian farm hands, and finds himself better suited to roles where his lack of knowledge will not cause a disturbance. Driven by the desire to improve and learn, Argus seeks to join the ranks of the Custodi pilots to achieve his goal, while assisting in anyway he can. Used to the long hours and distances he worked during his younger days on the farms, Argus finds himself naturally drawn to the familiarity of similar conditions found working on freighters and other transports.

Biography:

Delia was born on a farm in the area of Heraklion. Her early life was pretty normal for a child growing up on a farm. She watched her parents working in the fields and eventually followed them and tried to help out. As soon as she was old enough, she was sent to a school. One day as she arrived at home after a long day at school she found the doors of her home open. After she entered the building she noticed that all the valuables her parents possessed were gone. Unable to find her parents she started looking in the fields. Suddenly she stumbled across two butchered corpses. She quickly recognized the barley visible faces. The girl lost her parents at the age of 8 and was brought to an orphanage in the city.

During her time in the orphanage she still visited a school and was on top of her class. One day, during class, two men appeared in the class room. They told the pupils about the plans of the Custodi and their idea to traverse the stars. As it happens they were looking for recruits to be trained and to be prepared to join the small expeditionary fleet of the Custodi. Without a longer speech they announced that they already picked three promising recruits. Delia, as the best of her class, was one of them. And thus the life of Delia shifted again. During her training she learned more about astrology as well as how to fly fighter and smaller transport craft. The training and education wasn't easy and thus most of the recruits had some problems. Some, as well as Delia weren't as good as others during the flight lessons. The other half, in contrast to Delia, had problems with the education.

Shortly before the training was finished the whole program was canceled and the participants were forced to search jobs around the city. Delia, by that time, at the of 25, had no proper plans other than following the cause she was trained for. Unable to follow that, she tried to get a job at a one of the libraries. Unable to get employed she returned to the orphanage where she was raised and started to help out there. One year later, she heard about another attempt of the Custodi to expand into the skies. Seeing a chance to follow the travels she was trained for, Delia volunteered to attend in the recent attempt of the Custodi to settle in the skies.

What are your goals with the Custodi?:

Delia was trained for this expedition, therefore it is her will to partake in the Custodi's plans to expand. Delia also believes that it wasn't an incident that she was chosen to be trained and therefore she is willing to make a difference in space, repaying as much as possible for the opportunity to be able to traverse the skies. She also wants to satisfy her hunger of curiosity, the curiosity that always drew her to the stars.

Biography:

Georgios was born in a simple farmer's family. Unlike his parents he didn't want to become a farmer, he knew that Cretan people are having a hard time since they're at war with most of the Sirius houses and factions. His goal was to become a warrior and protect the homeland, so when he reached sixteen he decided to go to the military school where he learned pankration, fencing and most interesting and important for him - the piloting and space combat training.

Few years later Georgios matured and finished the training program, his parents gifted him a Titan Very Heavy Fighter, his father was proud of him and he saw in his son a dignified descendant of ancient Greeks who would always be ready to protect his people. Since Georgios always had a lust for adventures he decided to join his Custodi brethren in space and help them to settle in Sirius.

What are your goals with the Custodi?:

Georgios is a well-trained warrior and he's willing to partake in Custodi's expeditions and and become their wingman. He's ready to help his people in Bretonian and Omega fronts against every Custodi's foe.

Biography:

Vasileios was born into a working class family living in Manta district on a not too warm April day in 798. His father, Demetrius, came from an agricultural family working in the vast farmlands, but had moved to Manta in hopes of forging himself a more prosperous lifestyle as a city worker. Due to his far from exceptional education he had to settle with blue collar manual labor in the district's blooming sea port industry. His mother, Kalliope, came from a not too prominent family native to the Manta district. After marrying Demetrius she became a housewife, mostly tending to their small home and raising the young Vasileios.

Life for the family in Manta was far from perfect with his father's sole wages, but it had it's own perks - Vasileios had a chance of higher education than his father's. In school the boy took interest in mathematics and physics, finding more comfort in the material side of the world than the spiritual. Regardless of his lack of belief in the mythological part of the Cult he still found their teachings and morals to be compatible with his own world view.

Upon finishing his high school education he aspired to take further education in one of Heraklion's universities, but his family's financial status would not allow it at the moment. As such he took a job alongside his father in the port as a simple blue collar worker. Vasileios viewed this turn of events as unfortunate halt to his growing potential, but could not see a way to change it, even though much like his father he wanted to make a better life for himself than what he currently had.

In Heraklion's recently renewed interest in space exploration he foresaw the chance to progress his personal potential further. Much like how his father left the farmlands and settled in Manta, Vasileios was to leave the comfortable familiarity of the city and shoot for the unknown of the stars above. He spent many evenings studying whatever materials he could find relating to astronomy, navigation, engineering and piloting in the cold vacuum of space. The sole thought of having the chance to explore the vast world beyond often kept him awake until the early morning and caused issues with his daytime work, which at this point he regarded as only a part time necessity until he could apply for the Custodi's space program.

What are your goals with the Custodi?:

Vasileios strives to further improve his own knowledge of the world and it's functioning and to acquire a much more prosperous career than working as a simple worker in one of Manta's numerous warehouses and sea docks. Seeing a bright opportunity in Custodi's space exploration he views the new frontier for his people as the perfect stepping stone into his own advancement in life and Heraklion's social structure.
