"For crying out loud." Sader quickly took out his side arm and shot him with stun mode knockng Hemlock out. "Now that Hemlock is solved. Get him to a blody isolation room and get him medical attention. Also make sure he sleeps for the next 4 hours. "
The shot startled Reyes into full consciousness. She looked towards where it had been fired from, and where it was fired at, only seeing the Admiral with a gun pointed at Hemlock, her CO's body motionless on the ground.
She let out a cry. "Noo!" Scrambling forward, she was only barely caught by one of the medical techs who yanked her back onto the bed. She reached out for him, clenching her fists and looking at Sader. "What did you do!? Why did you shoot him!?!""
"He was causing too much trouble. Now the doc's can take care of him without him interfering. He will sleep for the next 4 hours." He placed the side arm back to its holster then walked to Reyes. "Now rest. That blody artifact made you go a bit crazy so you should sleep as well. Hemlock will be locked away in an isolation room where he will be monitored and given medical attention."
"Go to hell! I just watched you shoot him! How do I know I can even remotely trust you anymore?"
She backed herself from him a bit as he approached. "I thought you were better than he said you were..! He was only trying to keep everyone else safe!"
She looked towards Nova. "Please..! Don't let him do this!"
"I'm sorry.. there's nothing I can do, he overrules me.. But now you do realize Admiral, you've made my job a thousand times harder." Nova, clearly both angered and worried about what just happened, departed to take control of the operations on the ship.
"Nooo!!!" Her cry could be heard faded as Nova walked away. Reyes looked up at Sader, then down at Hemlock once more, the marines now picking up his motionless body. She broke from the doc's grip, jumping for Hemlock's legs as the marines lifted him up. She scrambled to her feet, moving to knock one of the marines over while grabbing Hemlock. "I won't let you..! Not him..!"
Nova stopped by two of her operatives. "You two, go into the med wing and make sure Sader doesn't balls up any more of this investigation by shooting someone. Get him out of there, I don't care how." After the two operatives went to the room, Nova took a sit on the bridge of the Shamrock Bay, though purposely not in Hemlocks chair, and contemplated her next move. He might have ordered me away, but I've still got a way to influence what's going on on the station.
Her two operatives entered the room. "Reyes, do try to calm down and not try to move one of the marines." One went to get Reyes back into her bed while the other turned to Sader. "Sir, Nova would appreciate if you let her handle this situation, probably to ensure no one else gets stunned or shot."
She had fallen with him in her lap, resisting the marine and holding onto her CO tightly. "No! I won't let you..! I'll lose an arm before I lose him again!"
She pulled him as much as she could towards a different bed, slowly but surely until she reached the side of it. She practically had him in her lap, his body so slumped he was almost lying down in between her legs.
"Please, you're not going to lose him, Nova won't allow that." The operative tried to calm Reyes down, but with little success. "Admiral, it would be most beneficial for Nova if you'd let her handle things from here, this is only making harder for her, and subsequently, all of us."
Reyes by this time had just completely lost it, holding Hemlock's unconscious body as close as she could. She just kept balling, muttering to herself.
Through the door came in Murray, who didn't seem particularly happy. To boot, she had a pistol clasped to her hip, but had the lock clicked closed. "Alright.. You two." She pointed to the two operatives, ignoring Sader initially. "Sitrep."
