Then you're an idiot and your character should be deleted to reflect him being murdered... Probably several times. No one values money more than their lives... And if they do, would they seriously be traders? They'd be mercenaries.

You realize... You SHOULD be afraid for your life. Your character doesn't see this as a game and should do anything he can to survive... Especially paying a pirate's measly demands.
