She gently 'petted' her, running her fingers through her hair. "Ever dyed your hair?" She giggled, thinking of what he might think of trying to dye Lindsay's hair. She wrapped her free arm around Allen's arm, getting herself as comfortable as possible.
"Oh? Well then, all we'll have to do is pick out a color." She smiled, wondering what the young girl would want. "Didn't figure you'd have hair dye laying around, Allen."
"I have to have some surprises up my sleeve, don't I?"
He closed his eyes, warmly rubbing up against her. He took hold of her other hand that wasn't being stolen by his daughter and intertwined his fingers with hers.
He sighed. "I don't think a day will go by where I regret that spot of lunch.."
"Hm? What'cha on about?" She held him close, relaxing, looking up to him. "Oh and if anyone sees us in public while we're just out doing something, I'm definitely hiding behind you. Too shy."
"That's fine, hon.. I'm sure one day you'll get more comfortable around it all.."
He looked down to her in response, gently squeezing her hand a bit. "Think of me like a big ol' door.. I won't let anything get to ya before you're ready.."
"Mmm, not a door, a guardian." She smirked, holding onto him, squeezing his hand a little as well. "Always watching over me, protecting, caring.." Her words got lost as her mind kept going, she only nudged herself closer to close any pocket gaps that may have been present before.
He smiled, closing his eyes a bit. "Be careful.. You might fuse us more than we already are.."
He yawned. Lindsay was already fast asleep, holding Nicole's captive arm tightly.
"Can only hold my loved one so close.. eh?" She giggled lightly, her head leaning more so on him, falling asleep on her lover. While she slept quietly, she kept a firm hold on his arm.
By the time she'd awaken, she'd find herself lied down on the couch, the bright light of the Cortez star barely peeking through the closed curtains. In front of her was Lindsay, still fast asleep and holding her arm, with a fluffy green blanket draped over the both of them. There was the sound of frying, as well as the smell of salt, milk and, most importantly, bacon lingering in the air, as well as those of a man trying to sing to himself.
"Stay.. when you think you want me.. Pray.. when you need advice..."
