Event: Outcasts vs Corsairs Week [Concluded]

Smuggling Goods commodity buy price increased to 2 000 c/u, the bonus has been adjusted accordingly to retain the same profit per unit.

Kill bonuses have been extended to cover the systems connected to Omicron Gamma and Omicron Alpha to prevent players from denying kills by jumping outside of the event area.

Rule Clarifications/Reminders:

-In the case where a cloaked transport docks on your planet and your character had no access to a visual of the cargo, you have no right to invoke roleplay consequences on the character. Use cloak disruptors.
-In the case where a transport successfully evades destruction and docks on the target base and sells the cargo, they may not be treated as a combat target once they undock. They can, however, still be pirated and destroyed if they refuse.
-Smugglers who avoid destruction and complete a run should not be surprised that, just because they buy the other side's smuggling commodity, they are suddenly magically safe from roleplay consequences from being shot in the first place.
^ To completely reinforce the notion, you may treat a transport as a combat target ONLY if they AT THAT POINT IN TIME are carrying the type of cargo that allows you to do so. Any other situation requires a demand.


-Players still may not demand a monetary demand that exceeds the profit of the run. Otherwise they risk of being sanctioned for excessive demands/pvp abuse.
-Players must still give the minimum amount of roleplay before dispatching a smuggler, even if the group members they are in have already demanded the smuggler to stop.

OUTCASTS vs CORSAIRS WEEK
Omicrons Event

Event Description
This week, starting from the 7th of August and lasting until the 14th, we invite our players to dust off their Outcast and Corsair characters. The event will consist of two layers and will have two stages. The first one will last from Monday to Thursday and will consist of a rather generous bonus for all kills made by these IDs against the other within the systems specified in the systems above.

As usual, we invite the official factions on either side to organize the participants via Skype and Discord as well as promote overall activity and presence during the event.

The second stage of the event starts on Friday and lasts for three days. The bonus per kill will be doubled and special rewards will be given out to the "Top Of The Scoreboard" players on both sides. The players with the most smuggled cargo and players with the most kills scored will be given a free NEMP Torpedo Launcher with 10x ammo to use over the course of the weekend.

Other rewards may be introduced over the course of the event.


Event Bonuses
Trade Event: Use a smuggler to bring illegal goods from Planet Malta to Planet Crete (and vice versa)
Combat Event: Earn points and credits by killing the opponent within the four systems mentioned above

Warning: Transports carrying this cargo are treated as combat targets by the opposing ID and may be engaged without a demand.

Kill Bonus - 10 000 000$



*The rewards for the events will be given out early morning Friday, before the server restart.
** The 4 runner-ups to the event score for all events may request a custom forum title via Player Request.
*** The second part of the event will include a admin-assisted free-to-reengage period. The exact time will be announced later.
**** FR5 requests on smugglers participating in the event will not be processed.

As usual, the admin team would like the participants to please keep in mind that any attempts to prevent opposing players from earning score during the event will be considered as cheating and dealt with as such.

My character has been to both Malta and Crete however I'm currently at Crete and I see that the highest selling point for artifacts is still Manhattan (Link), is the 15,000 credits per unit of contraband not showing up in the UI or will the bonus be paid after the event?

The event will be applied to the server within 25 minutes and the participants for the trade event need to be at least neutral to both sides.

So.....both sides are hunting smugglers? Is there a bonus on Smuggler Kills.....as in Sairs/Cast get a bonus on anyone hauling the "Event Cargo"?
