We interrupt your neural-net broadcast to bring you breaking news.
Several hours ago the Fulda Border station in the Frankfurt was attacked with an electromagnetic weapon, causing significant damage to the station and disabling the nearby Sigma 13 gate.
Eyewitnesses claim that vessels matching the profile and distinct design of the Gas Miners Guild opened fire upon the station’s defenses before launching an explosive warhead against the hull. Allegedly, the fighters headed directly into the Taunusfeld upon detonation of the warhead, which crippled both Fulda and the Sigma 13 gate.
Repair and rescue operations are currently underway at the site with projected casualties being minimal.
A representative of the Gas Miners Guild has issued a statement condemning the attack, assuring that no such action has been ordered against the station. The Rheinland government has yet to respond to the statement at this time, however reports indicate a mass mobilization of Rheinland Military assets within both Frankfurt and Sigma 15 as tensions reach breaking point.
In related news, reports are being received that the Republican Kusari government has dispatched forces to the Honshu system. An official statement regarding the attack and deployment of additional vessels has not yet been issued, prompting speculation of a potentially escalating conflict between Rheinland and the GMG.
We will keep you updated as the situation develops, this is the Colony News Service.■
