People did the RP, there was some good collaboration, the vote was split 50/50 in the Bundestag, Because unlawful and non-faction agencies arn't permitted to vote, major RP entities involved in the conflict couldn't do jack.
We were all lied to, those of us who have been working towards it for a year.
What an absolute waste of time for everyone who did the roleplay.
We WERE going to make the war 'unavoidable', however it was suggested we let the Official Factions have much more say in what happens. So we decided to let them. As such they voted No War. *shrug*

Ignore them. People are going to play safe when Trade Factions are allowed to vote on war declarations, because trade factions don't benefit from wars that cut trade lanes.
Unfortunately the entire server benefits from war.
One year ago, everyone in the Rheinland dev chat, including the factions who voted no, pushed for this. They've turned around and are now throwing accusations like "powergaming" at people.
What absolute trash. People need to learn to start taking risks. Then the faction leader of the perfectly active GMG faction that was originally there, left and played another Rheinland faction because he didn't want to fight the war, and now GMG doesn't have an active ingame presence any more.
- I would do it -. Unfortunately I have to run Unioners. People will flock to activity potential, like a war, if it happens. But right now people are saying that we don't have any eggs, so we can't buy any chickens.

This only means for us that we find other ways to rise tensions to make things unavoidable escalate in a RP PoV. Rheinland's reaction inRP was reasonable but for future gameplay and story development it will need more than just this, sure. So instead of getting dismotivated see the good thing: Rheinlanders are insecure now, how much did the GMG really do etc. .. soooo all it needs is more pushing (Like Aoi is trying their best already) and make it slowly escalate. We cannot expect a full scale war after one shady attack guys, if you want to throw away that last bit of realism for the sake of gameplay meh..

They were given several choices, one of which was "investigate".
They chose "investigate" because it would basically assure finding out the truth and normalisation of relations. Which shafts everyone who has done extended RPs pushing for it in RM, UN, Kruger, BDM. Who are also Rheinland's most active groups. Go figure.
You ever try to talk to multiple Official Factions and get them to agree on say Blue is a real colour? It's like trying to herd a bunch of cats into one direction without them fighting or going in a completely different direction.

You see. Let me repeat what I said so often today already: Fulda is just the very beginning, it was never supposed to be the one thing that triggers the full scale war. It mostly failed rising the tensions, this doesn't mean it is over. Jeez.
