"Never heard of it." She says, shaking her head. "I take it some kind of rogue Liberty Navy element that serves the Slomon K'hara?"
She proceeds to munch down on her food, her appetite not sated.
"It was created about 34-35 year ago; and according to some people their main goal was to explore the Omicrons." poor souls...
" During those times, we had no idea what was going on in the systems that you and me call home. Obviously, no one knew about the Nomads; except for maybe the Outcast and/or Corsairs. But that's a long story."
" The thing is... they are usually inconspicuous, you won't see them with such a big ship. The only fly small crafts." What if that is the point of all of this? They wanted to deceive us... and Akibara let them in.
" I wonder... what if the Delta invasion and the appearance of these two ships is related?" And just like nothing happened, he starts again to eat.
"I don't know... It's just that... I worry about my home. When I woke up here, Nerva - any family I had, were long dead, at least.. those I know of. I don't even know if and where they're buried, if they even were on the sleeper ship. Honya and Pale Bride.. my two AI, are all I can consider as family right now. I just... I just hope that I don't lose my home again. I've already lost Earth.. I don't want to lose Freeport 11." she sighs, her head facing the floor, a depressed look on her face. "I often ask myself why do I bother continuing? I'm just some freelancer who has cast away her jus soli, and been accepted by the denizens of that station in the middle of the hell that is O-Delta as one of their own. I defend Freeport 11 because I call it my home, Marisa, the girl I love.. it's been her home for a while too. I get myself involved in things bigger than me, and I feel that I should have just played nice with Kishiro and stayed planetside."
"Having regrets about past actions is extremely counterproductive. Uhm... how should I say it.... Oh, yeah! Every action we take is the correct one from our point of view. Even though... looking back we can say that a certain choice was the bad one, we are saying that while being in a completely different situation from the one we were in back then." Oh, I'm quoting one of my teachers from Kusari... welp...
"Dwelling on past actions just dilutes your present; or... at least, that is what I believe. We should all learn from our past actions, but we should not let them take over our present."
"By the way.... Delta was always like that. You could even call it a "drama magnet". For some weird reason, people like to mess with everything/everyone that is present in that System" he starts eating again.
"You know what.." She says, picking herself up and downing half of the glass of Ale. "You're right, Nerva. I should look at my past but not linger on it too much. Thank you for helping me realize that." She proceeds to continue eating, nearly finishing it.
"A drama magnet.. No wonder.." She says to herself.
Nerva looks at his watch. Some sort of message must have been transmitted to him. Oh... come on. Not again... He finishes his drink and takes the media device out of his pocket. " Damn Cultist again... this one was really close to here."
"I'm sure this info is more accurate than what we would ever see on any public broadcast." He unfolds it and this time, instead of pictures, an interactive hologram is projected above the device. Close... to damn close to 49.
"This was quadrant B4 in Dublin a few hours ago." Five capital ships, they appeared to be modified Bustards, were being engaged by everyone present in Dublin. Prates, police, military, freelancers, everyone was fighting to fend off the Cultist invasion. While pouring another glass of Cider he asks the other two: " So, what do you know about Cultists?"
Nerva click something on his watch. One can never be sure of anything here...
"Sure, let me finish this glass of cider." He quickly drinks the remainder of his drink " Her Ulrich, we won't be long. Do bring some more food and another bottle of cider." Nerva and Nodoka are getting ready to exit the bar when Nerva turn to Ulrich and says: " Oh, and if we do no come back, put everything on Doc's tab."
On the road Nerva explains more about the Cultists; but right before they arrive at the ship he notices that Nodoka starts to be impatient.
"Is there something wrong?", he asks her while reaching to grab his gun. Oh... I guess it might be time for some combat.
