for the safety of the station I am ready to do even shady things. But how can I be sure that you don't come up with another blackmail attempt the next month and then so on and on? I would like to have either A) some sort of guarantee that this won't happen again, then I will pay, or B) maybe we can arrange some sort of permanent business arrangement from which both our parties will profit. I haven't seen much activity of the Unioners lately, so the building of a stronger economic backbone for the Unioners apart from simple blackmail might be even more profitable for you? Reading between the lines here I suggest that the police or the military won't lift a finger to defend private buisiness owners (I speak from firsthand witnessed experience) so a long term friendship with you is in my interest, too. Maybe you have some ...commodites ... that you could spare with that we can sell all over Sirius for a better profit than on the bases you can reach?

My, my my. No need to get cocky. If you want to get a monthly fee, be more specific, you sounded as if this was a one-time blackmail-attempt. I am not used to deal with criminals and their ways. While it is true that we can simply skim the 50 mio each month from top off the books, I need, no, I have the right to demand some guarantees concerning handing over that much money (even for a one-time payment, let alone a monthly fee).
Apart from that, my brother in Dublin works for a mining base and they got bullied by the Mollys once. It ended in a profitable understanding for both sides and the Mollys got more from it than if they had demanded a monthly fee of 50 mio. In fact, they have now some new fighters, several new gunboats and even a shiny new cruiser filling their ranks. So my previous offer wasn't meant to be insubordinate, but as an attempt to discuss things as buisiness partners at eye level. But if you want mere money, fine.
Now regarding our "business" deal: I am more than willing to pay you a monthly fee of the demanded 50 mio, however I must be sure that no other Unioner comes knocking at my door with similar demands. I have gathered some information about you, so I guess this is something you can guarantee. However, the downside of getting protection money (or rather danegeld) is that you are responsible that we are left in peace. So the LWB shouldn't be a problem, but what about the Bundschuh? Or the Red Hessians? Can you protect us from them? Despite your bold claims there seems to be no understanding between you and the later. If you can't offer us protection in return for the money, I rather dismantle the base myself and quit buisiness in Rheinland altogether and go back to BMM where I started before I let myself go down that slippery slope and find myself some day paying every criminal organistation in Rheinland. You are the first to demand something from us, so you will get it - if you deliver from your end, too.

Well, let's settle for 50 mio cr (even if you mistakenly (?) wrote 50.000.00 in your second message) as first payment. But if I encounter other criminals that want their piece of my pie I will call YOU to settle this dispute, not the police or the Rheinwehr. 50 mio is the maximum I will ever pay, so if let's say the Red Hessians want their share and you don't intervene, I will cut these 50 mio in half to pay each party from that. So better make sure that no other peddlers come to my door.
