What's the bare minimum required to refresh a ship?

Some say it's just logging in and out, some say you have to undock from a station, some that you have to shoot a missile or drop a cm, type a word, and everything else, but what's the absolute minimum required to refresh a ship so it doesn't get wiped? I'm looking at refreshing 100+ ships so the fastest method would save me quite a bit of time.

The first moment you do a transaction with credits, the char get's refreshed.
