I come to you with a request of necessity. While our operation to assault Leduc was a success, it came at a price for both of us. Alongside yourselves, we lost a number of our small craft, such losses we cannot replace easily. We've scavenged what remains we can are are patching together but we are still down a large number of our small craft. I would like to inquire about the chances of obtaining a number of Lane Hacker fighters and bombers to bolster our dwindling number of squadrons. It's come to my attention that while we now have the pilots, I simply do not have the ships to put them in. Naturally we lose a number of craft assaulting Navy forces across Liberty, and our fighters and bombers are now only a handful, I can barely maintain a squadron of each aboard the Harmony, let alone our other capital vessels. I hope you consider our request. We can of course provide whatever you may ask of us in return, so this request is mutually beneficial. I hope to hear from you soon.
Before we can discuss this, there are some tiny little questions that need to be answered. Like where is our share of the spoils from the Leduc boarding? We lost quite a few fighters during the gate attack as well as several assassins during the close quarters combat on the station. Was it all in vain?
What is the thing between you and the Hellfire Legion? If I recall correctly you assured us of your open hostility with the Legion. Now I am hearing from our mutual friends that you work hand in hand. Shall I expect that the next time a Hellfire Legion raiding party attacks our operative in space, you will just stand still and watch? Perhaps in future you will join them and shoot us using our own Vindicators and Transgressors? What are you going to do next? Align yourself with Ageira Technologies? You surely know that it is never personal for the Lane Hackers. Never. With the exception of Hellfire and Ageira.
You did not receive shelter, support, technology and funding for free. It is time to pay for it by showing your true allegiance. It is time to prove that we did a right thing by helping you. Destroy two vessels of the Hellfire Legion, show us untampered records of the assault and you will get your ships.
First and foremost, I personally do not know the status of your end of our attack, Admiral Knight did not share those details with me and I've sent an aid to inquire about it after reading your reply. Onto the more pressing matter, we are very, very far from, in your words, working "hand in hand" with the Legion. To my knowledge the Legion has a new supreme commander, one who expresses regret over what had been done in the past.
Looking at this tactically, they seek a cease of hostilities, however this is very very early, and from my reports, they're trying to make a show of good will towards us. We are very aware of the situation however we would never consider such a thing unless it would benefit our allies as well as us. The extend to make it work has yet to be determined, as I've seen few words and seemingly regretful Sid of our forces, as if they're being made to. I'll be able to explain in more detail as I even observe the Legion, as my reports are few on them.
I am very curious which of our mutual friends would provide you with such shortsighted, shoddy information to make you jump to such a conclusion.
While it is regrettable that so far we could not make a deal about possible ship acquisitions, I come to you today with a bit of a different, probably surprising request.
I am currently still having a running investigation on the how and why but apart from Hacker personnel and former criminals who joined us it seems that, despite very few, people are taking cardamine. Back in the official Navy those people would have been suspended and given into treatment. We cannot afford this now.
I am aware that this is a permanent thing and I'd rather have my staff and pilots operate properly than having them die or deal with Rogues or those that infest the Freeport.
Thus I hereby request a shipment of cardamine to be delivered to Marshall Station at your earliest convenience.
Still I would also like to resume talking about further ships but I am fully understanding that this has to wait until we have our local... struggle resolved. Which is also when I can give you an answer. The Legion has become quiet again and there's been no warships intruding our space. For that the Unioners have become somewhat unpredictable on their own.
When the situation in Bering is more stable we intend to return Attack Group North to the Cochrane area.
My name is Wolfgang Weisen and I am one of those responsible for our logistics. There is nothing surprising or extraordinary with your request, it is only natural and understandable. We're currently working on a massive delivery which will set up your supplies for a long time. The Lane Hackers cannot do less for such a privileged ally.
Our only humble request we have is to allow onboard your bases and Harmony for just a few hours a number of vendors and scientists. These specialists will hold a few seminars to your pilots about cardamine since we expect after the deliveries a number of Harmony personnel to be interested in the substance in order to improve their combat capabilities or other tasks which are mentally exhausting and demanding. Overdoses are common with eager new recipients so our men will make sure that Harmony personnel is informed about how to use the product safely and extract only its positive effects. Harmony veterans with their unlocked potential through the usage of cardamine will be an unstoppable terror on the field of battle.
Apart from those we took in that were already dependant on cardamine the number of crew who need it is low. I prefer to keep it this way. Nonetheless the affected people can take part in your seminars and we'll have to set up a safe place for them to acquire cardamine. I imagine this causing trouble within my people already. I wouldn't want it to cause more problems than it already does.
Still if there are massive benefits and we have people willing to take this I'd rather they know what they're getting into. Marshall is ready to store a supply of cardamine for our own people and those, most likely your people, on visit to the installation.
When can we expect this shipment? We ought to be on alert if we get an actual cardamine shipment.
Operation is scheduled for the next week. We have decided to incorporate Unioners in it and it brought additional delays. Delays, delays, delays... They are very frustrating, won't you agree?
As a side note I wish to tell you that I have visited Bering yesterday to inspect fortifications there myself. A small 5th force decided to pay you a visit. I killed one attacker but two of your officers fell and I could do nothing but just watch as the hostile dreadnought was bringing down your cruise inhibitor. What I noticed though is that Bristol auto-defenses were not active during that attack. Maybe you should double check them?
I was told to inform you that the delivery of almost 20 000 metric units of Cardamine to Marshal Station has been concluded. Please find more details in attached report.
At 2000 hours on 24th March I have rendezvoused[guncam] at Bering gate in Texas with Frau Sofia Zelinsky from The Unioners. Ms Maria Freudenstein and Mr Von Hammerstein acted as scouts for the convoy on our side, while Mr Blackfriar, Mr Maximilian Largo, Mr Wolfgang Weisen and me commanded our transports. The Unioners have sent two transports of their own accompanied by Separatist and Liberty Rouge cruiser. From Texas we led Unioners to Leiden base in Galileo where are ships finally gathered[guncam] after delays caused by minor Navy and Hellfire Legion interruptions.
Once all transports were loaded with Counterfeit Software, we have entered Shikoku. After minor interruption by the KNF, we have continued without problems to Kyushu[guncam] and reached Omicron Alpha[guncam] with no further delays. The unloading of the convoy has been easier than we anticipated and after filling all transports with Cardamine we have launched to Sigmas. In Alpha we have parted with Mr Hammerstein and Separatist escort. Upon reaching Sigma-13 Ms Zelinsky has taken over the point[guncam] of the convoy. Unfortunately, just before reaching Bering one of our transports was caught by Rheinland Military and eventually destroyed. With only this exception all remaining assets including 5 transports reached Marshal Station[guncam] with approximately 20 000 metric units of Cardamine.
while the presence of such a high amount of cardamine on a military installation still causes many of us at least a slight feeling of confusion, I am still glad it worked out so well.
It is regrettable that you had to lose a transport in this operation. Though I assume your pilots know the risk and the reward was satisfactory.
Now I am well aware that there's still some doubts about the current relations between our two organisations. Though I see that you are still well willing to supply and work with us.
Since the very beginning the Hackers have supported our cause and I believe it is not too far fetched to say that without you we couldn't have gotten this far.
We'll not risk that over an organisation as unreliable as the Legion. As it stands we're having only as much as a cease fire. Though independent from their main group they also declared that they'd attack us.
We've had trouble finding their true intentions and they did not contact us again. It also appears that their operations ceased in enthusiasm. They've not been seen in the area for some time now.
Our intentions are to keep our alliance with you. The Legion is merely an enemy we wouldn't like to take on in addition to the forces we already have to fight.
Zoners and Xenos are recently rising up in Bering, making it nigh impossible for us to leave Bering.
But I also have good news for you. We acquired parts of the data core of these automated carriers that haunt Sirius.
If you'd help us decrypt them we'd be more than willing to share with you. If it promises to be of value I would like to ask to trade it for weaponry and hardware. We're not really in a position where we can acquire working ships our pilots can fly.
