Oh god yeah that one is a mess. The base plugin's worst offences are the things it does with the Freelancer engine itself and the assumptions it makes about Solars. I don't have a recent copy of dsacesrv and dsace around here, just one from circa 2014, but man is it ever a trip.

Regarding the current situation, Kaz - the server has become much more noob-friendly, many of the bugs and old abuses are gone, there's many more moneysinks and RP opportunities, Devs and Admin teams don't fight anymore, whilst catering events, development, and RP concessions entirely around what the factions achieve.

The direction the players want to go, and the direction the devs want to go, mostly synch nowadays.

Except, uh, #Frankfurt. ; D
