Read the first post of the Bug Reports thread.

When you have to upscale a model you know something's -really- wrong with it. That's a last resort option and I'd rather give it a Templar turn rate if that's needed to make it balanced. What part of the hitbox is broken specifically? From what I see it's just a little bit bigger Chimaera with VHF stats, that's the main issue. We make it a balanced Chimaera of VHFs by giving it the lowest turn rate.
Same goes for Tachi if it's too small -and- too fast, I explained that in the post about the Odin. The turn rate nerf wouldn't be so drastic but it would be felt for sure. What do you mean with the broken Eagle hitbox at the front @Kyoi? If there's a bug please report it in the appropriate thread, it's much easier to track stuff from there.
Sabre won't likely be changed as it's average right now. It's alright in both duels and groupfights. In duels it has 7 guns but low core to force you to pick your shots carefully at close range or use efficient guns (5 8.33s on a Sabre are not recommended). It's not too quick because it's not too big either so the turn rate is average. Size is average as well, shape is as I mentioned a debatable topic but it's okay overall, nothing special. In groupfights that mediocre size, average responsiveness and shape allow it to perform good while dodging and bad while focusing people, because core's what matters the most there.
Overall an average snub and considering it's a generic one we've no intention of changing it atm. Problem with generic tech is that if it's too good everyone starts using it and you'll see Sabres vs Sabres only, remember 4.85? Same goes for any other generic ship or weapon, they must be regulated especially to not be too good. We're still lookin at the Scraper for that matter after it lost the meme responsiveness.
As for the hitboxes, the "skirt" part on Wyvern seems to be somewhat broken, as in almost unhittable from the front and certain frontal angles.
Eagle's top fin and the part where guns #5 and #6 are mounted seem to be broken as well. I'm not sure but I think Ends showed that to Justin a while ago.
I agree with you on the Sabre part. Right now it is somewhat worse than most faction ships, though it still has its advantages like almost 12k armour, 7 guns, good boxing ability and holes. Pretty much everyone was flying a sabre in .85 indeed. Right now it's still a widely used ship so it's likely not THAT bad, just somewhat worse than most faction VHFs.
The thing about wyvern is that there is no way to accurately measure how good the actual model is because right now the hitbox is still broken to the point where it is actually much smaller than the chimaera. Right now, statswise its not a duelling ship but its on par with ships that are designed for it but only because of a bug. What is really irrititating is that it is too good at groupfights due to being small, responsive and 1270 core regen. Nerfing turn rate is certainly not the way to go because the real issue is that it takes like 5 snubs shooting a wyvern to do any sort of damage when its running away.
All mentioned ships with broken hitbox were reported to Justin much earlier (except eagle, he was testing with me himself), however I can dig up vids of them if needed. I also discovered an issue with tachi hitbox but I am not entirely sure if I reported it since it was quite a while. I will post them when I'm home for the weekend.
About Sabre, for duelling, a lot of ships are smaller and faster than it. With regards to groupfights, 1100 core is just not justifiable. Tbh if the core was just buffed to 1160 it would do a satisfactory job in brawls. Duel-wise I am not sure if its just a balance issue with most other ships but it definitely does not feel winnable against competent players on faster smaller ships. Other 7 gunners also feel way better than sabre now after buffs. They certainly don't get outboxed by every ship in the game because of core.

A small announcement - I'm leaving the balance team due to communication issues. I'm not gonna go into details about why it happened publicly. Any progress made in regards to the 2nd VHF balance pass as well as all other scheduled changes related to balance will have to be continued and finalized by other devs.
