SciData Weapons in OpenSP

So currently, we have some really nice, special and most of all, expensive guns available to buy, but very we dont know too much about them, and it can be hard to get a feel for what a gun is like just by looking at its stats, or a gif of it shooting empty space.

However, it is possible to get these guns in OpenSP through methods such as editing the .ini files for a base, to add them to equipment dealer, but then you get issues with the anticheat if you forget to revert the changes, or don't make a whole separate install to modify, and each time theres an update, the .ini file gets reverted anyway.

My suggestion is to add these guns for sale to a base that isn't available normally on the server- such as one of the Guard Stations in Bastille, or Trafalgar in New London, that cannot be reached through normal gameplay, but can be reached through OpenSP commands. This way, players can buy and test out the guns in a PvE enviroment, without the hassle of dealing with .ini's or other troublesome methods to try out these guns.

Now, some players might try to cheat the system- purposely getting sanctioned so that they can buy the guns, but since the guard stations already sell unique SRP ships, I'm fairly sure the admins have a way to stop players buying things in Bastille when they shouldn't be.

Their means of stopping peeps from buying unique ships is to put them on the Navy or Police Prison Stations

It's 100% effective.
