She walked outside with the canister in her arms, but when she saw the stripe in the soot that she made just yet, she paused. She walked closer, stood infront of it while balancing the canister on her leg to free one of her arms, and wrote something on the side of the ship. She picked up the canister up with both arms again and walked back to the ship.
Mi looked with curiousity at what Meg was doing but saw what she had written when Meg came back and walked passed her.
Mi had to smile. She was looking at the written words for a few moments, then gave Meg a thoughtful look. The only thing Mi did then was drawing a heart around the words and a P.S.
"I will steal all your tea"
She put down the last container and sat besides it. The smell of the smoke had become less strong and she could now smell the scents of the Gaian forest behind her. She took the sidearm from her hip and started inspecting it.
"To be honest. I only read about a few plants that were here. I have no idea what kind of creatures may be on this planet. But we got guns and they most likely do not."
Mi took the gun and inspected it briefly herself. Smiling amused she stood up to walk the few steps to the box. Getting her own gun out of it. "When there are things out here seeing us as some sort of snack, I would rather use a gun I know. Thanks though, Meg."
"That is fine, but do not come to me if it breaks."
She shrugged and walked back to her ship.
Inside the ship she walked to a reinforced cabinet with a keypad. She typed in the code and the door slid open.
Multiple weapons were neatly arranged in molded protective foam which protected them from potential damage.
She took out one of the ballistic handguns and strapped the holster to the right side of her chest. For a moment she let her eyes wander over the guns and took out a battle rifle and mounted a sniper scope on it. She also set aside a few magazines of ammunition on the shelf that was secured to the wall and slid the heavy door of the cabinet back into place. A click indicated that it was locked securely again.
The rifle was left next to the cabinet and Meg walked to her pilot seat, while she was busy stashing the ammo away in the pockets of her combat vest. Her katana was secured under the arm rest. She unfastened the katana from the custom made holder and unsheathed it a few centimeter before closing it again. She fastened the katana on the right side of her belt while making sure the gun and the sword did not obstruct eachother.
Megaera walked back to see what Mi was doing and picked up the rifle on the way out.
Mi had been checking her blaster thoroughly, glad it was left with no damage after the crash. When she saw Meg finally coming out of the ship again she started to laugh a little. "You are overdoing it. I mean, combat vest, three weapons. Do you expect any heavy resistance? That adornment thing I wear offers just small protection.. I mean, Gaia isn't full of people and I doubt here are monstrous predators, right?"" She sounded a bit nervous towards the end and stood up. Ready to assist Meg whatever may come.
"And why is it that Gaia is not full of people then? Because a handful of tree lovers keep the navy away?
I prefer to have the means at hand to kill anything we come across"
She loaded a bullet in the chamber of the rifle. and slung it over her shoulder.
"I am going to scout the area and see how the children of the gods have been doing in our absense."
Mi looked at her in surprise. "Alright. Might not be a bad idea afterall. But there is one thing bothering me. You go scout and leave me to cover our ships with leafs and stuff?" She chuckled a little. "Oh well, fine by me though. Just don't get eaten right away, hai?" She added in a teasing manner then and went to into the direction of her wreck of a ship to collect some nearby branches.
"Use gloves! I do not want you infected with whatever lingers in this place.
This place was not made for human organisms. treat anything as poisonous."
She kept walking and vanished into the vegetation.
Mi looked back at Meg. "Good point, thank you! Almost forgot this!" She quickly hurried back to Meg's ship, went to the box full of her own equipment and got herself a pair of gloves before getting back on her way to the wreck.
