Mi had been watching, standing there quietly with the gun still in her head. She almost shot her... and what she was saying there. It was strange, Mi had no real clue what just happened but seeing Meg like this made her smile, this was weirdly cute. She decided to stay quiet for now and awaited Golanski's reply probably as curiously as Meg did.
The accidental discharge caught him by surprise. His raised his hands next to his chin with concerned expression upon his face internally questioning whether nature of their wounds may in reality had been self inflicted. Megeara continued with abbreviated version of her adventures so far on Gaia, causing his appearance to change only by rising eyebrow as she reiterated the same story in more elaborate banter. He tried to come up with words that could match the insanity but his mind could not come up with any thought that a man could transcribe into spoken words. He had experience with dealing with individuals affected by madness to a various degree - himself certainly affected by the lifelong stay in the Edge Worlds - it was difficult to answer or even play along with her mind games at such an late hour.
“You are besieged by bunch of alien beasts on a planet so detached from concerns of this civilization it is a miracle you managed to contact me with such clarity of signal. Gaia, a world in midst of a warzone, protected by overzealous Greens from Cambridge and only a maker deity of your choosing could possibly know what kind of pathogens and predators this bush could possibly hide. Of all people, you only have me to call upon your aid, give or take several dozen light years away.”
He managed to formulate a suitable tirade, summing up his own understanding of how dire situation they managed to found themselves in. It was not in his way to leave people stranded like this and contrary to the plans he made for today, he would end up keeping these two alive via barely tangible tech digged out by Ageira from an alien vault some eight centuries ago that borders the mysticism to mind of a normal man. Taking a deep breath, he carried on.
“Not only one but two damsels in distress. ‘Syrup-chan’… or ‘Lusty Fox’, whichever she prefers will certainly will be suffering from physical and psychological trauma due to uncounted bodily harm that extend of I only managed to barely grasp. Miss Ishikawa, do you realize the danger you are exposed to right now? What kind of supplies you have at your disposal right now?”
Mi was simply listening, while doing so she put the gun aside. She didn't feel like taking an active part in this conversation until the mentioning of Syrup-chan.
She gently pushed Meg aside and stared at Golanski, anger and amusement resulting in a strange facial expression
"Don't you ever call me like this in front of her. How comes you even still remember this? Did you stalk me, little Admiral?"
She then noticed something else. Lady Ishikawa? That was Megaera's family name? Was she related to the Ishikawa she knew?
Mi took a step aside, starting to wonder.. this concerned her enough to forget the question Golanski asked them.
Megaera folded her hands infront of her and rested her chin on it.
"It is not a miracle I could contact you. I relayed the signal through Brunswick, which is only 3 systems away from here. It is not like I call you using a rock from this planet. May I remind you that it was you who set me on this path? You were the one who was ranting about synthetic garbage tea. I only saw value in your words and decided to go get tea plants from a source that is undefiled by human touch. Which is here. Mi simply wanted to tag along.
The creatures here are just confused by my presence. No other deity may have visited Gaia since its creation. The heresy might just be a reflection of my absence. Perhaps in time they will be alot nicer. Hold on let me get one in here."
Megaera left the ship and came back a short while later carrying the Gaian creature inside. She propped it up on the pilot seat.
"Look, this is the dinosaur shrimp. It attacked me and I shot it. There should be more of those around."
She looked at the confused Mi.
"I took it out of the container... oh right supplies. We have water, several kinds of food, 24 hazmat containers, 1 filled with this creature and basic medical supplies. I might have missed some.
Mi listened to Meg's reply towards Golanski but she couldn't really wait anymore for their conversation to be over. She got besides Meg again, giving her a curious look. "Ishikawa? Are you... are you a relative of the Imperial Kaisho-ho? A-And.. your first name is?"
This was a strange thought, could this be possible? This woman being a family member of the Imperial Rear-Admiral who tried to attack her, the one Mi distracted so Meg could safely escape?
Mi looked at little miss Ishikawa and started to laugh at her facial expression. "Arigatō, Meg, for finally realizing what my real name is! Baka you, obviously it is not.. and I meant that weird Imperial who once attacked you in New Tokyo.. but I see he is not a relative of you? That's good. So.. your first name is?
"I am Ishikawa Masako. Daughter of the Samura executive, Ishikawa Hayate. I know what man you refer to, but he is unknown to me. I am sure he is not aware of my existence either. Golly has been a bad boy for dropping my name out of nowhere, but you are no threat to me."
She pressed her finger against Mi's forehead.
"Anything else you want to know Golden Flower Girl?"
Mi was smiling warmly. "Arigatō for telling me, Masako-chan. Don't blame Golanski for it, he knows I am nice! And no worries, I promise to keep it to myself. And.. uh.. a Samura dad. Oh well, mine had ties to them too, atleast I heard so." She became a little thoughtful then but finding no further question for the moment, she just gently brushed Megaera's finger off her forehead and hugged her.
She holds Mi and pats her head, then looks at Golly with an evil smirk
"You know how I met Golanski? Blood Dragons sent me to him at Dabadoru. There he restrained me and had a ceiling turret target my head while they drained my blood and scanned me. It was really distressing and it turned me pretty much into the person I am today."
She showed the large scar that ran across her abdomen to Mi
