Mi couldn't believe what she just heard there. "They.. he did what? Golanski. Will you.. will you explain this? Why the hell do you do this? I thought Order experiments and methods are fine! Aimi uses them and I even supported her! Then you do such stuff to people, to Masako-chan here?" She looked at the scar and lost it then, angrily looking at the camera. "Explain this and yourself or... gah, you id.."
She sighed and hugged Masako again, holding her. "I am sorry to hear this, Masako-chan. He had no right to overdo it like this.."
Megaera was amused while Mi was yelling at Golanski, but pulled her back from the screen.
"Actually I was just joking and Golanski is innocent. The K'hara caused this scar. I simply wanted to see how you would react and I am not disapointed. The restraining and the gun pointed at my face was real though. Golly is into some weird stuff."
Mi voluntarily stepped aside, sighing. This was just a test? "That's still not the usual method.. pointing a gun at her head and keeping her restrained.. bet he's doing that wi.. ehhh." Mi spoke quietly, it was more aimed to herself but both of them could easily understand her every word.
Mi gave a quick glimpse towards Golanski. "Nani? I-I said nothing.. it's nothing really. Just this odd rumor you can hear sometimes on Ainu about Golanski's relation to us."
The delayed nature of this communication was just the right medium for Minami to explode over the comms and engage in a rather weird undeserved tirade against himself. He left them to vent, through annoyed and left momentarily to fetch himself a glass of rum. It seemed his temporary absence had missed them as they were preoccupied with their Kusari stories but he had heard everything. He had a closer look at the weird carcass that they found fitting to place near the camera. Masako and Minami could see his perplexed expression as he leaned in to inspect it, after all he had seen something even Admiral never heard of. He uttered but a single comment. “You are one ugly motherf…” The static cut up his transmission just a little but his opinion on the Gaian monstrosity was made abundantly clear to the stranded Kusarians. He resumed in normal tone, towards Minami.
“I wish I had nothing better to do than to stalk women and imbue them with mysterious properties though bloodletting like charlatans of old. If it was that simple, we would be only few steps away from developing living weapons to eradicate Nomads within timeframe of weeks. Furthermore I wonder what kind of company you have gotten yourself into given you had gotten an hearsay about such a rumor. After all I do not recall that you are privy as to what exactly happens in my personal quarters, neither that you are actually a willing participant to any of inexplicable plans as to how I wish to spend my freetime. That is, maybe you are jealous. That or you happen to be from inner circle of fans and fangirls writing up fanfictions to either idolize their Admiral or perhaps defame me, I am not quite sure what is their intention.”
His answer to Meg was of a different message, more to the ground.
“I will need diagnostics of your vessel subsystems. Depending on condition of your...” He coughed lightly. “...half of your mighty fleet, we are looking in most positive outcome to arrange window of opportunity for extraction within twenty standard hours. If you are stranded, picking up that wreck of yours requires an equipment we simply do not have at hand and you may end up camping out there with a healthy prospect of supplies drops and company of…” He pointed towards the camera but it was quite obvious he referred to the alien creature. “...Whatever THAT is. Do you want to stuff it and hang it above fireplace or something?”
Mi had enough of this. She felt tired of this discussion by now and only replied with a few words. "I am not exactly jealous, you know. It wasn't me who let rumors about you and the Empress spread around.. and hell, I am for sure not one of your fangirls." She looked at Megaera and then the dino shrimp. There were more important things to do than argueing with Golanski now.
Megaera looked at Golanski and then back at Mi with a confused look on her face.
"There are rumors about me and Golanski? What?"
She looked at Golanski again.
"System diagnotics are green. Only Mi's vessel took significant damage upon landing. In the worse case I can just stuff her in the cargo bay.
I just wanted to show you the dino shrimp. There are more of those and might offer resistence when we venture deeper into the forests. Our objectives have not been completed yet. Infiltration was successful though. No humanoid hostiles have been detected."
She gave the corpse a headpat.
"Should I bring one of these to Akabat? I can use a drop pod to make it land in your backyard."
Mi shook her head, half amused and half annoyed by the way this discussion went. "Masako-chan, while it is cute you see yourself as the Empress.. I didn't refer to you in this case. And I would prefer to sit on your lap during the flight if necessary.. everything's better than sitting in a cargo bay full of dino shrimps on our way back!" She actually had to chuckle now, continueing to do so when she saw Meg headpeat the corpse as if it was some cute little pet.
