I'd just like to make a comment on the 'Corsair influence', the Corsairs have a very stylised and very, VERY secretive shipbuilding tradition, we wouldnt share our tech with anyone who we do not trust deeply, let alone some random miners whose only connection with us is 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'. IMO it shouldnt have any Corsair influence at all, the IMG were only vaguely neutral to us (the CR were our 'allies', but the IMG were only neutral).
Other than that, i think it looks rather strange to say the least, perhaps a bit more IMG influence wouldnt go amiss.
Also, those look almost like Rheinland textures on it, not something i would imagine on an IMG ship.
The IMG and the Corsairs were never neutral or allies by favor of canon. They've never even been strenuously neutral. On the short list of groups the IMG hates (about 6 groups) the Outcasts and Corsairs stand shoulder to shoulder.
The IMG supports and works with the Hessians. Not exactly fertile grounds for Corsair <3
The CR and the Corsairs were buddies back in 4.84 and earlier due to various diplomatic hodge podge like enemy of enemy is my source of cids and so on.
So! To reiterate!
The IMG murdersauce hates Corsairs.
The Corsairs murdersauve hate IMG.
Going from the sexy sleek version of the Raven's Talon as it is to that is a disgrace to the ship. If you're aiming for a replacement model, go for something more aerodynamic.
I have to say, that ship isn't very nice looking at all. I'm just biased though. Because i still have my RT that is 3 years old. It was my first VHF on Discovery and even though i don't fly it these days. I would cry if i logged on and it was replaced by that.
Hmm, it's a strange looking ship because it's chunky frame doesn't quite fit uniformly into the Freelancer universe. Most Freelancer ships are quite thin framed and pointy. Try giving it liposuction and you may be onto a winner.
The same problems is seen on the Waran, it's a bit fat, but it gets by with it's pointyness.
