I have terminated the previous communication channel with your, I assume associates, as well as their access to all Core stations. You, however, are very intriguing, on a personal level and out of interest I'll humour you. The last time the nomads made their way into house space the entirety of Sirius set itself on fire, they nearly succeeded in wiping out all of whats left. So I have to ask you if you arrange coexistence with the nomad kind, what makes you think it would be a peaceful and how would you or anyone be able to keep them in check?
Guildmaster Rothschild, I must say that this is an unexpected pleasure.
In light of your concerns, I have taken a trip to my ship's MRI scanner, and I have both submitted to a scan of my brain and spinal cord to ensure that I am not infested. The images and the results of my blood test have been included as data attachments to this transmission. Your medical professionals and nomad specialists may feel free to peruse them, and if they have any questions, I will be happy to answer them, as well as cover any bases we may have missed. I trust that this will prove sufficient to demonstrate that I am not infested.
With that out of the way, I do feel as though there has been a severe misunderstanding on the part of your agent. He arrived in the middle of a quite long conversation that we had been having, and there is a great deal of context that that little slice of dialogue is missing. To be clear, we were discussing the potential exchange that a grand alliance between humans and nomads could allow. Audio transcription follows:

[22.09.2018 17:13:58] Naiad: And what do you mean with 'putting together'?

[22.09.2018 17:14:38] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: And vice versa.

[22.09.2018 17:15:55] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: I do not mean you should give it to us.
[22.09.2018 17:16:09] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: What I mean is that, perhaps in the future when there is trust, such a thing could be considered.
[22.09.2018 17:16:19] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: But there is much to be done before that can be a possibility.
[22.09.2018 17:16:19] Vagrant.Pasiphae: "Given, shared. We see it the same."
[22.09.2018 17:16:29] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: I know.
[22.09.2018 17:16:38] Gossamer: Perhaps one should ask what humanity has to give.
[22.09.2018 17:16:58] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: I believe that we have a lot to give.
[22.09.2018 17:17:07] Vagrant.Pasiphae: "Elaborate."
[22.09.2018 17:17:22] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: We could give planets, resources, and even your heritage.
[22.09.2018 17:17:33] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: Sirius was inhabited by nomads before humans.
[22.09.2018 17:17:42] Core|Archer: Care to explain why you are offering Humanities planets to a nomad?
[22.09.2018 17:17:45] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: Perhaps if there were peace, we could share in it.
[22.09.2018 17:18:07] Vagrant.Pasiphae: "We sense a darkling of Cruelty has intervene."
[22.09.2018 17:18:22] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: I am not offering anything, I am stating a hypothetical diplomatic situation of the future, Core vessel.
[22.09.2018 17:18:32] Vagrant.Pasiphae: "This 'meeting' is finished."
[22.09.2018 17:18:36] Gossamer: Don't bother. Core only care about taking for themselves.
[22.09.2018 17:18:40] Core|Archer: And hey there Captain of the Eidolon, I'm sure we have our differences but that is a nomad, why havn't you melted it yet?
[22.09.2018 17:18:49] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: Yes, I am well aware of that.
[22.09.2018 17:18:55] Harvest.Moon: Aisling: Farewell, Pasiphae.
[22.09.2018 17:18:59] Core|Archer: Moving in on alien hostile
As you can see, my exchange with the nomad was describing a hypothetical future in which humans and nomads lived in cooperation.
I would like to state that I do not have the authority to offer a planet to a nomad, regardless of whatever intentions I may hold. I also do not believe that an infested individual would have any reason to attempt to communicate this with a nomad, as they would simply be able to relay it telepathically, without stating such things in the open. Therefore, if I were an external viewer, and given my background in xenology, I would not expect anyone holding a conversation with a nomad near to a Freeport to be infested. However, I do understand that my credibility is undermined by the circumstances.
In regards to the matter of my endgame, as I have stated, I am a xenologist, and the study of the Slomon K'Hara is my profession, and my life's work. Therefore, it is natural that I would seek to gather as much information as possible pertaining to nomads--including investigating the potential of peace between our species.
I understand that this is a controversial topic, and I understand your skepticism. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to answer them. Thank you for reaching out, Guildmaster, and I trust that you will remain safe.

Guildmaster Rothschild, again, I am surprised to see you reaching out to me. Truly, I expected that you would wish to have nothing to do with me. But, I do appreciate the gesture.
I would like to preface my reply by stating that I am not wholly convinced that such a state of peace can exist between humanity and the Slomon K'Hara. We are two very different species, from even the simplest facets of our structures all the way to the way that we perceive the world we live in. Such a difference may be impossible to reconcile, in the end...but, I do intend to determine to what extent this rift between us extends. I am doubtful that the K'Hara will be the sort to forgive and forget easily, and I certainly know that humanity does not wish to do so--and I can blame neither, truthfully.
With that being said, I do not know how such a peace could be maintained. Such a detail as how cannot be considered without first knowing that the K'Hara are willing to cooperate on any level. Then, one may move on to the specifics of negotiation, and place offers on the table, so to speak.
Before that, I have determined several factors to be addressed. The first is, of course, the ability to consistently and safely communicate with the K'Hara. The second is to establish that the K'Hara have any will to communicate. The third is to bridge the rift of minds and create a mutual understanding of our separate paths of thinking. And, fourth and finally, once we are all on equal ground, perhaps then one could consider diplomacy.
As odd as it may seem, the first and most valuable people in any discussion are not the diplomats, but the linguists and interpreters that present between them--and, as a neurologist and psychologist, confronted with a species that communicates via telepathy, you may see how I intend to proceed. If we can establish communication, then, at the very least, one may be able to negotiate a treaty.
With luck, perhaps you now understand my train of thought, regardless of whether or not you agree with it. But, one way or another, my motivation in doing so remains the same: ending this war, and the bloodshed. And, while eliminating that threat through violence is perfectly serviceable, why not investigate the option that consumes fewer resources, and grants us the boon of knowledge?
I do hope that this has been enlightening, Guildmaster Rothschild.
Your inquisitive mind truly is a wonder, most sentient beings tend to avoid throwing themselves directly into the fire. I advise that you remember that it was curiosity that killed the cat not simply the dog at its throat so keep your wits about you when dealing with the creatures. From your explanation, it appears that you aren't as far down the road as I first assumed. The in-space communications made it appear that you had already established some sort of communication basis with the Ausländers am I right to assume that your communication with them is still very fresh? If so I apologise if my Brethren jeopardised your operation.
We are however now at an impasse, collaborating with the Ausländers is a crime within the Imperium sphere of influence. Nomad sympathisers are red-listed as standard procedure, something I feel would make your operation unnecessarily more difficult. I would like to improve our relations with you, maybe even co-operate to some extent but the risk of infection you are running is extremely high. Before we can offer assistance and of course security clearence we would need to check you over, first hand, although your scans appear to be very comprehensive transmissions such as those can be faked. If this is something you are comfortable with we will accomodate you, your vessel and crew at Durban.
After that ofcourse we will be able to offer security services and potentially even funding for your endevours, in exchange we would require you to feed us any useful medical information you obtain on the Ausländers and any fleet movements you consider to be of interest to the Core. For now the Core will of course us this information to stem their advances into delta, but should your project prove successful then perhaps the Imperium could help you with a test-bed colony for any Ausländers you manage to convince in this endeavour.

Guildmaster Rothschild, I apologize for the delay. I have been considering your offer very carefully.
Given the potential benefits and the good of ensuring humanity's continued safety in the Omicrons, I would like to accept your offer, and thus comply with your request that I come in for medical evaluation aboard Durban Station. If there is anything else that I can do to assure you of my good intentions, then do let me know. I would like to make sure that you feel as comfortable as possible with my work, even if my goals do not strictly include eradicating the Slomon K'Hara out of hand.
Nevertheless, I shall report my medical findings and any potential threats to you and your organization. The last thing that I would want is for humanity to fall to an alien threat.
Great to hear back from you, I have arranged for a member of the Arcani to complete the procedure. You'll be able to communicate with them here ■ I would like to ask if you have had any progress with your reaching out to the Ausländers? I'm keen to hear if you have had any progress.
Regards, -William Rottschild
