I'd much rather like to see a group of Nomads that have gotten seperated from the mindshare/hive due to research done by Core/Order/Zoners and somehow got released/escaped. Then the mindshare refuses to re-accept those nomads and they try to survive on their own, eventually getting in touch with humans around the sector.
Through the actions of a group (presumably The Order, as having a group of "anti-nomads" would be ideal [The best people to fight your enemy is your enemy itself]), some of the Nomads somehow ended up freed from the hive-mind.
They're still Nomads, but they want to stop the war. They want to end it, and live in peace.

If we are asked to fire on one of our own we will not comply. We may face disciplinary action, but the promise of peace far outweighs any consequences that may come from the act.
We still have freedom to choose, but it is limited.
If a LN/PKN player is ordered to fire on a Gallian/PKN Player, neither will comply with the order to open fire.
That is part of my point IRP those characters won't remain in their chosen factions long and will end up with Intelligence factions / order investigating them and eventually determining that they are infected and to be destroyed. ORP it will simply disrupt gameplay and infuriate players, eg. LN1 (one of yours) and LN2 engage GRN1 (also one of yours) LN2 is being stomped and constantly asking why LN1 is just sitting there watching.
But as I said already you either have individual diplomacy or faction diplomacy not both.

+1 you all are gonna get killed on sight. Nomad Pacifist.. wow.

Pseudo-Pacifist. You kill us, we kill you. Again, like the bees - you hurt us, we sting you back.
But unless you hurt us, we won't touch you. Remember, we want peace, not war.
Also, if we're not playing Nomad as Nomad, and are actively part of the LN, then you are not going to be very friendly with the rest of Liberty's armed forces for very long if you kill us.
"Kill on sight" for an LN member makes the rest of the Liberty Navy VERY mad. Mad enough to brand you "Kill on sight" as well.

Hence what I said in the OP, we are an organized group, NOT a faction.
I'm posting it here in this part of the forums to make it official.
There is no faction diplomacy. There is, however, individual diplomacy.
Also, we may be infected, but are we hostile? That is the question that must be asked.
Infected does not necessarily mean hostile.
This is also why the PKNs are PvE-oriented. If we want to, we can join PvP actions, primarily against other Nomad groups that aren't so friendly towards the others in the Sirius sector, but again, our focus is on RP and PvE.
It is also why we intend on using both capital ships and snubcraft. If any Order members are brave enough to attack a non-PvP character in snubcraft or capships, they will be responded to with capships.
I don't think your average fighter pilot is going to be brave enough to fight two or more battleships or carriers on his own.

You're using "organised group" instead of faction to try and avoid the limitations of factions and you will find it just doesn't work that way. Any an organised group plays out like "hey guys let jump on our OC characters and go raid liberty, Then we can jump on our DHC characters and do some mining.". Seeing as beating my head against a brick wall isn't my idea of fun I will leave you with this the only time red equals dead in disco is in regards to nomads.

And I counter with this:
Unless said Nomad is also a member of a non-Nomad force.
If so, red doesn't equal dead. It equals "Stop and think if we really want war with Liberty/Rheinland/Bretonia/Kusari."
Again, I am not proposing this as a faction. Not in the slightest.

That and by engaging a PvE-only character, you essentially broke a server rule.
That said, I need to edit my OP so that this is cleared up.

I dont think you understand the server rules as well as you think you do. There's no such thing as a "pve-only" character, unless you happen to be under level 35, which you're not going to be with anything other than the starter ship.
