All personnel from Sektor-4893 have been evacuated and the facility is now on lockdown, thankfully it was already near empty to begin with. Make no mistake however, the investment was worthwhile. Several new compounds and synthesized minerals and materials have paved way for more effective modifications to the base model I have in mind - leading us to the VENOM II.
I have acquired what I can, but for more copies of both the VENOM I and VENOM II I will need more materials. The most fruitful sources of these materials as well as other resources that have provided breakthroughs - are sitting at Holstein's ocean floor. There is a way to move back and forth between the deep ocean and to the E.O.D on a few minutes notice. I have come up with designs for the U-Boat under my command - U-173. Submersible edits would not infringe on the ship's space combat and exploration capabilities, while allowing it to traverse the ocean floor to collect more supplies and resources. With your permission, I will proceed to apply these edits, test, and put them to use so I may begin construction of the VENOM II.
The first blueprint for the main propeller is a simple design made to cooperate with the HNP series engine systems. The print is labeled as confidential, as I have done this on my own terms without disclosing the information to anyone else but the engineers aboard the U-173.
Good, the faster we can tear down the infrastructure on those top-side platforms, the better. While the movement of these materials are probably going to be limited until we either get our own platform or corporate investments start to turn out production for us. So for now, I'd imagine crew space is going to be pretty cramped on board the U-173. But I guess we're most probably going to need to do as much as we can to develop the weapon systems to give us an edge over our adversaries.
I know it seems odd, but we're probably going full circle, ships began on the sea before they went to space. Seems like the term of "U-Boat" is coming full circle. Don't spend too much time staring at the water-beasts below; Carry on Kommissar.

The final blueprint has been thrown together from my quarters in the very vessel it's designed for. The extreme depth resistance is thanks to the alloys and shielding devices on standard ships. We've modified the power intake and output of the shielding to make the vessel "waterproof" in a manner of speaking. We don't anticipate having to reach nearly as far as the vessel is capable of, unless you're after some rich Ice-7 deposits. Reports and specifications on resources collected from each trip will be forwarded to the MEC-Megalodon HQ on site and then relayed to you.
This blueprint can be used as reference material in the event we uncover resource deposits that require the attention of more U-Boat vessels.
I've just gotten word from the AESIR Production facility and prototype labs, your gunship should be cleared to occupy one of the docking bays on station for a retrofit to your engine systems. If there is any material requirements, please notify Herr Hauptkommissar Oberhauser who leads the logistik division on station and he should be happy to sort something out for you, even including the more hard-to-get items.
Knowing the submerged facility in Holstein has mineral deposits and we need them for the Venom experimental production, we need them more than ever to combat the enemies of the state. Although I might need to occupy your time for a later assignment concerning internal security of the state.
