The Cambridge was created and shipped of to the Republic of Liberty for immediate service.
The Cambridge was first dispatched to Colorado to aid the Rio Grand against the Xenos. This vessel was often seen impulsing near Planet Denver, and its fighter squadrons patrolling the Trade Lanes and should any trouble be reported the Cambridge moved without hesitation.
As the war ramped up more and more Liberty Dreadnoughts where moved in order to support the front lines. The Cambridge was left often alone to combat the criminal elements like the Liberty Rogues, Lane Hackers, Xenos, and rarely Outcasts. This Vessel has taken quite the beating over the years and many patch jobs have left this ship visibly scared from multiple hull breaches. The Bretonians every five years agreed to service the Cambridge seeing as their engineers are more familiar with their tech. However with the Gallic war in 818 A.S. had caused those yearly services to stop due to the long dry dock ques for Bretonian Ships. The Cambridge has not received its service for 8 years and the Republic of Liberty restricted its duties to Orbiting Manhattan and doing traffic control duties and prisoner storage.
Once the Gallic war was in full swing the Republic of Liberty had been invaded and California was the new front for Liberty. With no other option available The Cambridge was taken of Orbital duties and put back into the fold of combating the criminal elements. In present time you will often see the Cambridge patrolling New York with Its own escort consisting of Four Defiant's and Six Avenger's. In comparison to the Bretonian Dunkirk this version's power output is 10 percent less efficient due to its old age and integrated Liberty technology. it is still a formidable opponent for anyone willing to break the laws of Liberty in its presence.
