Is there any reason for this anyway? The SA are already heavily present in NY. This just removes more RP options for independants.
Quote:The northern navy as well as the Southern Alliance navy will be led by the Fleet admiral Woolsey of the actual Southern Alliance Navy. All rogues and renegade ships will be boarded or destroyed by the new navy if they refuse to obey to given orders and instructions. The Navy is now united and has all powers in the Liberty zone of influence.
You want to join a navy? Fine, just as long as you're willing to put up with the command structure and chain of command that comes with it. It's a MILITARY ORGANIZATION.
That it is but why not give the Independants some freedom to manuever instead of clamping down on them?
This is quite simply powermongering since the SA already do what they will be doing with this in place. Except now the Independants can't say they follow the Northern Navy chain of command but instead must bow down to the SA.
I did read the OOC note but I fail to see how Pronouncing a claim to the Northern Command will result in anything but Less RP.
Was this done also by the recent Sisters of Light attack?
Ships
<strike>Metroid- VIPER MKII - Licensed for nomads in both liberty and bretonia houses
Cargo Metroid- CSV - Unlicensed (I'm not gonna license my Cargo person)</strike>
Gonna start anew...
Its just a consolidation, considering that we have to operate within the North anyway we might as well RP as the northern command. It actually stems from removing ourselves from OORP behaviour and accusations due to being the "Southern" navy.
I'm not looking to clamp on indies, so long as they act like naval personnel let them, it doesn't bother me. Its all just a matter of getting our RP in order.
[EDIT]
Nope, had nothing to do with Tenacity's move at all.
Rights don't apply on private property. Stop talking about them as if God himself ordained that you have the inherent right to do something on a game server.
But, I can see Linkus' point. This will result in having to, shall we say, "pull an RM" in order to keep nonintegraters in line.
Delete my NC? No way, I got an LN Guard tag on that. You can expect him to fight tooth and nail. If nothing else, I'll dump the ship in Conn and keep it there for practice (which it has been doing recently).
I don't think you realise that the Southern Alliance calls itself that because it is meant to operate in Texas, California and New York, leaving Colorado to the Northern Navy. Since there is no Northern Navy counterpart right now (and probably never will be), the SA want to get rid of this pointless limitation of their ZoI and just be the established Liberty Navy, so they finally can in their RP patrol Colorado. Why does this immediately mean they will kill all indies is beyond me, and I cannot see your reason at all.
Some of it was worded a little funnily, but meh, the point is to fix the ZoI. The fact that any indie who acts like an idiot rather than a navy pilot can be shot if a PM session proves unproductive is a minor issue, I think most sensible people already do that.
