Miss Wardwall informed me you will be joining my team, so I’m contacting you to arrange your transportation to Kusari. I’d like to get you down here and straight to work as soon as you arrive, my security chief stepped down a few weeks ago so you will be taking that position based on the recommendation sent from Interspace.
I have taken the liberty of arranging your living quarters but if there is anything specific you require let me know before you arrive and I will see it is prepared.
Nice to meet you, everything seems to be in order and I have just made touch down on Renzu Shipyards, however It would make things easier if my accommodation were in Kusari rather than Liberty! I hope you don't mind the odd pun from time to time.
On a more work related matter but less around my specific role, I would like to start by having a look at Renzu Shipyards inventory and sales systems. This isn't totally necessary but it would help give me a solid understanding of how Renzu operates on a day to day basis, is this an area you can give my employee card access too?

Jokes are not something I am accustom to, here in Kusari we take business seriously but I certainly don't mind you trying to lighten the mood from time to time. We certainly have a better sense of humour than the Rheinlanders!
Your security pass has been updated with nearly unrestricted access, the only place you are cannot enter is the protected data storage room which is restricted to myself and our R&D department head. Other than that you may roam the station, make some observations and implement security procedures as you see fit.
Thank you for your trust and honesty, I have had a pretty in depth look at your stock ordering system and it appears to have a flaw leading to it conflicting with itself.
It automatically adjusts the station's sale price according to its own stock supply and original purchase prices, this is good as its smart enough to ensure you don't make a loss on anything but this process is also eating into your profits.
When supply is low within the station (and it's sale price the highest) the system orders more stock. The moment that stock arrives the system recognizes it as a surplus and adjusts the sale price accordingly (the lowest possible price without making a loss) the price slowly creeps back up as stock starts to sell which does keep you profitable but I feel there's an opportunity to make a serious improvement here.
Before I start diving into this with suggestions I wanted to ask if there was a reason the system works this way or if that's just how it has always been? And if it was a solution to a pain point for your business what were/is Renzu struggling with?

Our automated stock ordering system is simply there to ensure we never run out of materials needed for construction, although we do sell to passing traders it is a very minor part of the business and most of our profits are directly from sales of Renzu ships. The system should ensure that we never sell materials at a loss but should you have some improvements to suggest I am all ears.
I've had some time to think about it and I think that Renzu would really benefit from a stock de-ownership program, effectively a way for the shipyard to offload its cheaper stock to Interspace commerce and then buy it back at a small % increase when the shipyard is ready to sell it on again at a much higher price. This way Renzu doesn't need to take the risk on holding stock IC can shoulder that while both sides make a profit.
I have uploaded an attachment below, have a look and let me know what you think, once we have the all clear we can present it back to the IC team.

Your proposal is very interesting, I was under the impression your speciality was security not stock management?
Anyway, I will bring your proposal to the board and give it some serious consideration. It will also require authorisation from Interspace commerce which as it is your idea and you have liaised with them before I suggest you pitch the idea to them and get back to me before I submit an official proposal.
