The window for this operation is rapidly closing. We are presenting a finalized plan, which must be acted upon as soon as possible.
Though the bulk of the enemy fleets are still occupied, the capital has been relieved and reinforcements are bound to arrive if we do not act now.
The attack shall be divided into two forces, the Northern Battlegroup and the Main Battlegroup.
North will be made up of interceptors and strike craft with medium support, intended to scout for and engage reinforcements that might arrive, from the gate of course and potentially from jump holes from London or Leeds. This force will be primarily IMG and GRI vessels launching from the Hood and Carillon.
Main will obviously consist of the main force that will focus the attack on Graves. The battlegroup Rockabill has been recalled from South Shields and the carrier will act as the focal point of the assault. These forces would be mostly IMG and Molly launching from Arranmore and Hood.
As for the battleplan, it will be as follows:
Phase 1 - Scouting
Both forces will launch light scouting vessels to report any unusual activity. For North, this means examining the mining fields and jump hole connections to New London and Leeds. Any miners are to be chased off, any errant BAF patrols reported or engaged, depending on strength.
For Main, this of course means scouting out Graves. Any new defenses, any additional BMM security presence, and any rearrangement in that weak old minefield should be reported.
These are the movement routes of the scouting teams.
Phase 2 - Initial Attack
North should now focus on holding the New London gate, in case of any reinforcements. If any hostile forces arrive, they should be tied up in combat, with the battlegroup acting defensively and avoiding losses but focusing on preventing any potential hostiles from traveling further into the system. Meanwhile, North's interceptors should remain on patrol with an eye on the northern jump holes, in the unlikely event that hostiles would enter through those.
Main shall now move in upon Graves. Torpedo bombers shall deliver a decisive first strike against the station's most prominent defenses, together with the fighter and gunboat force to cover them against any BMM defensive forces. The top priorities are heavy weapons, so that the larger vessels can move in uninhibited. If it's deemed necessary, this is also the phase in which excess mines should be detonated.
The interceptors of Main battlegroup should meanwhile move to the Omega-49 jump hole, in case any enemy activity would come from there.
These areas should be well controlled at this point.
Phase 3 - Assault
Main now moves in the heavies. The carrier Rockabill will target the shield generators and remaining defensive structures on Graves, together with all other heavy vessels of the battlegroup, until the station's life support fails or the surviving personnel surrenders, at which point boarding will commence.
Further actions of both battlegroups will at this point depend situationally on potential enemies in the system. They shall coordinate accordingly and drive any remnants of resistance out of the system.
This will likely be the last chance we have to wring a system out of Bretonia's control for a very long time, show the sector that we can fight back, and fulfill the national ambition of the Mollys. While the allied forces in this attack may have reservations about working together, we are going to have to be pragmatic.
There's a limited number of ships and pilots that can be committed to this, and we need everyone we can get. The Republic of Dublin and the Kingdom of Gallia both want the expulsion of the Bretonian Crown from Dublin, that I am sure of, and in order for that to have any chance to happen we must act together, and we must do so now.
We will give you the timetable in separate communications. Any last questions?
