Dear Sirs and Madams:
My name is Jonathan Seabourne and I am the Captain of the OSC liner Breezewood. We were transporting a group of socialites from Manhattan to Baden Baden when we we encountered a group of ships in New Berlin that requires your attention.
At approximately 17:00, we ran into three ships with callsigns Onkel_Patrick, Onkel_Sippi, and Onkel_Hammy flying military grade ships outside the jumpgate from New Berlin to Stuttgart. Most notably, two "Donau" class cruisers along with a third ship I was less familiar with but comparable in size. Two of them were using Freelancer IFF's while the third had a Federal Police ID. I hailed the ships, asking for permission for my passengers to get a better view since many take OSC trips for exactly this reason.
Without warning or demand, the three vessels opened fire upon the Breezewood We were out of position to dock with the jumpgate and so we started running south. The ships pursued, but were out of weapons range once we hit cruising speed. We retreated around the Saarfield, well off the map for the system, frantically hailing and asking if they had any additional demands. We only got a curt message in reply, "Bitte Deusch."
Eventually, the ships veered off, having never said anything beyond those two words. Breezewood had exhausted its nanobots and batteries in the initial escape and we were down to our shields and very little hull integrity. We limped back to New Berlin, avoiding the trade lanes, with our passengers rattled but safe. We did not see the ships again.
We would not bother you with small acts of piracy, but their actions were an existential risk to the Breezewood. I ask for clarification as to the security situation in New Berlin, and I hope that you can bring these vessels to justice.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Seabourne

Sehr Geehrter Captain Jonathan Seabourne,
We are most aggrieved to hear of your unfortunate encounter, and most relieved that you were able to reach safety in a timely manner. It is no doubt a testament to your skill and bravery as a captain in a dangerous galaxy.
Unfortunately, initial information provided is insufficient to establish a positive identity on the vessels you have reported at this time. I can assure you, however, that a full and vigorous investigation will be undertaken - any black box logs or camera capture footage you have would be most helpful in identifying the alleged perpetrators.
I have passed your information on to the relevant departments of the military and monitoring units. Patrols in the area operating out of nearby stations have been updated, and patrols doubled for the protection of yourselves, the flow of trade and the civilian populace at large.
Finally, allow me to assure you that the Rheinwehr continues to take the security and safety of merchant traffic throughout our space, and beyond, extremely seriously. We are committed to working with our civilian partners to make a better, safer, Sirius for all.
Hochachtungsvoll,
Fregattenkapitän Emma Lehmann, Rheinwehr Pressedienstoffizier, Bundesmilitäramt,

Dear Fregattenkapitän Lehmann,
I commend you for your professionalism and promptness, Fregattenkapitän. Similar messages to your Kusari and Bretonian equivalents have been met with nothing but silence. Unfortunately, I have no additional evidence to contribute to your investigation. My ship's external cameras were destroyed in the attack, so I regret that I cannot be of additional assistance. Gods willing, this group will disappear into the night and this will be nothing more than a footnote in a police report. Now that they're on your radar, I hope if, gods forbid, this group causes more trouble that you will be better prepared to handle it. My apologies that I could not be of more service.
Good Hunting,
Jonathan Seabourne

Kapitan Seabourne,
Hallo. Kapitan, let me first begin by offering my condolences for any casualties you may have sustained during this incident, as well as my apologies that the Military could not prevent this from happening.
I will alert those of the Bundeswehr and our allies of these aggressors and have them placed on our blacklist, forwarding what details you've provided to them as well. In coordination with the rest of the Bundesrepublik's lawful forces, we will bring these assailants to justice.
Should you unfortunately happen to come across these same vessels again, or hear of any possible leads for investigators and military patrols, I ask that you forward them here to this channel so that a cooperative effort can be made to track these ships down.
I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours, Herr Seabourne.
