EDIT: PLEASE REFRAIN FROM FOLLOWING THIS GUIDE. It caused trouble for others. I don't really know what makes it unsafe (Dev/GM insight would be really appreciated)
I'm back! with recipe of disaster, a guide to have SweetFX works nicely (so far, for me )
Always, always make a backup. It saves you from headache of reinstalling Disco. In this case, backup Disco's EXE folder. By default, it's located on C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Discovery Freelancer 4.91.0
Extract the RAR somewhere, but not Disco's directory. We have to edit stuff beforehand
Open the extracted folder, delete these: dxgi.dll
dxgi.fx
injector.ini
Open SweetFX>dlls>FXAA DX9 dll, copy d3d9.dll and replace the one in the outermost directory
Open SweetFX_preset.txt, make sure it points to SweetFX_Settings_Freelancer_Realistic Space.txt
Open SweetFX_Settings_Freelancer_Realistic Space.txt. This is the file where we tweak stuff to our liking. Set define USE_SMAA_ANTIALIASING and define USE_LUMASHARPEN to 0 (the latter are optional to disable. I chose to because of graphic artifacts it gives)
Read SweetFX readme.txt for more informations on tweaking SweetFX_Settings_Freelancer_Realistic Space.txt
Before merging the folder's contents with Disco's, make sure that you have deleted every ENB related files in Disco's EXE folder, listed below: enbseries.ini
d3d8.dll
d3d9.dll
enbconvertor.ini
d3dx9_40.dll
d3dx9_26.dll
Noticed similarity between them? Not the Lucullus, no. It's the blessed washed out colors, which reduces the eyestrain from long activities, like trading or RP. Want to have cool screenshots that bleed eyes? Sure, just enable bloom and set the colors to vibrant.
