one thing i don t like about ships sold on guard systems. - i was FOR that feature for a long time.... but ever since the outcast fiasco, i m not supporting that option anymore. i would put it down in the ID that a ship is limited to a faction ( like its done with the blood dragon ) - but putting them into the guard system.... i wouldn t like it anymore.
a playerfaction can claim that system and restrict it from other players free choice, and since i believe that a good roleplay should not be down to how others consider it, i d much rather not put ships in guard systems that cannot be purchased in other places, too.
edit: thats not against the outcast policy, which was made a huge drama about for nothing. - but the logical claim of a production yard and the justified limitation of the ship - against - other players ( meaning other players must justify themselves before they can even start their roleplay ) isn t what i like too much. - so, yes - junkers only.... or exclusively.... but not in a guard system to avoid future problems.
Maybe instead of putting the ships in the guard system, just change the files so you still need full guard rep to buy the ship?
RHA still plans to put the Capitals in the guard system we've designed, as it has a shipyard and all... It's a bit OORP for them to be produced on some asteroid.

Xeno's in bombers worry me. If our enemies have bombers we must have bombers. Falling behind in the arms race normaly means you become extinct.
The ship Jinx proposed is not a warship. My concern is that it have a large cargo hold and be able to take one heck of a beating. I could care less if it can blow up a cruiser.

I love the Idea of a crap load of BATS/BOTS good sheilds/armour and only 3 cruiser gun's. My junker Guard would drop his cruiser in a second for it.
As for people trying to "pirate" a junker? That would be uterly stupid. Where you going to hide out/sell your artifact/slave's/cardi.
Also if us junker's had our own Ship's, we would not need to explain/make up excuses that we salvaged/rebuilt/stole/retrofitted it.
If other's want to use our ship's? so be it. After all junker's sell anything, to anyone, any where.

A lot of players keep trying to use the "but you dont have any enemies!" excuse to prevent us from getting any decent ships... I'm sorry but I'm a bit tired of having two very mediocre ships to the junker name, we need more.
