Good Evenin' folks,
My name's Harry Harriman, at the moment sole proprietor of a home-grown Liberty shipping company. Now I reckon this is kinda small-fry for you, but I'm hopin' someone out there has an ear to the ground on this one.
See, my company's got potential, but it just ain't enough to pick up the scraps that Universal and such-like leave behind. I'm talkin' the registration problems, the legal mumbo-jumbo, right? Can't get permits for eight-pod trains and whatnot. I'm not in the business of bein' bought out, either, so I can't exactly turn to my direct competitors now, huh?
But that's where you fellas come in. I reckon that the war you poor Bretonian folks finally got out of did a number on ya'll's livelihoods. Bet plenty of yer own ships got caught up in it, if not yer facilities, yer crews... Anyways, seems to me like all those nice words swapped between Liberty's gov'ment and yours is a bit of a pickle, huh? After all, why won't USI and gang just mosey on in an' set up shop where your own bases used to be? What, since they have the capital an' all.
What I'm proposin' is this: If you help me out in gettin' larger trains approved for inter-House travel, without me havin' to grovel to the folks 'round these parts, maybe I can make a dent in their operations a bit. Slow 'em down the old fashioned way, with some nice, healthy competition in Liberty herself. Meanwhiles it let's ya'll build yer assets back up. I'm sure we can work out some kinda licensing scheme, maybe some fees, some extra haulin' you'd need my folks to do. Better'n both of us bein' bought out by IC, huh?

To:Texan Starlift Encryption:High Subject:Commercial Licensing Greetings Mr. Harold S. Harriman,
Your proposal seems a bit confusing to our Board, as well as your information regarding contacts between our Governments witch we sincerely have no idea were you got it from,
But let me enlighten you about BMF position, regarding the destruction of instalations and assets we share with BMM yes we had some issues specially in Leeds and New London,
But let me assure you reconstruction is on the way and at a good pace,
In what regards our financial Status, you are seriously miss informed about BMF economic state and i seriously doubt either USI or IC would have the hard cash to buy out not even 5% of our Company,
After all, who is the Contracteur here? BMF as always. We have extremely good relations with the the referred companies, we have ongoing contracts with USI and IC and we value their cooperation very much, more than business partners, we are becoming almost friends, you must understand, as our companies cooperate in so many projects, its only natural that personal relations develop between pilots and crews, dock masters as well as the rest of the staff.
Maybe your company shoul look up to them and establish a cooperation line instead of an open and direct competition.
Regarding your request, we think that you are referring to our beast transport, the Shetland, we are open to specific proposals once you make one, cause we sincerely fail to understand your proposal.
Make us a proper specific proposal and maybe we can reach some kind of deal.

Evenin' Mr. Hunt,
No sense mincin' words, now. If you fellas really are on top a' the world despite all that horrible fightin' then good on ya, an' good for you. An' if you really are all one big, happy family with all those folks over yonder in Manhattan that dang near own half the colonies already, then sure. I reckon there's absolutely no need to diversify yer contacts, to license out a bigger fleet, or even to spread that rebuildin' around so you aren't in debt to Liberty for the next a hundred million years... Sure.
Companies compete, Mr. Hunt. That's what they're for. 'Ts in the name. But that's fine. You fellas do you, and I'll leave ya to your business. Good luck with the rebuilding.
