I've heard many rumors regarding the GRG- that came to life from the remnants of the "IRG". I very much believe that I could use your expertise in the following task.
It has come to me that after my very..." special" AI has come to you for Azurite, he has developed a sort of affinity for enhancing the power output of vessels via unknown means. Although that is beneficial for me and my "Jackdaw" class Heavy Fighter - his mental state degraded to such an extent that he started a conflict with Liberty. I cured his addiction too late to repair the damage he has caused- this, we're both in this mess. Thankfully- "Bit" has shown interest in exotic weaponry, and despite the permanent damage he has suffered, he is more than capable of handling many types of weapons. I would like to put that to the test further than what Sirius weaponry can offer. So tell me, Genesis; do you have something in your wares good enough that requires field testing, or that you are willing to actively put on the market?
If the answer is yes, I would like to put my "Jackdaw" and "Bit"'s capabilities to the test. I am eager to see your answer.
Mr. Vaughn,
I hope this response finds you well.
My name is Martin Lawrence, and I'm the C.E.O. of the Genesis Research Group.
I remember a member of the Genesis telling me about this AI that asked him supplies of Azurite, but I did not know his creator was still alive or taking care of him, as usually AI go in that state only when such things happen.
However, the Genesis has really no interest in your conflicts with the Republic of Liberty, because we simply like to maintain our neutrality over all situations.
Now, I see you are interested in "exotic" weaponry. We might be able to provide such weaponry, but not for free.
Depends on what you require and the quantity. And I expect an offer for whatever you need.
I hope we are on the same page.
I'll look forward to your reply.
My Jackdaw can take up to 5 weapons of the highest caliber a small snub craft can take. It would make sense that I should request just as many. I need a weapon that can punch through-hull like cheese, something that hits as possible at high-velocity speeds- a higher value than what ordinary weaponry can deliver.
Now, I believe we can arrange a deal. Bit has developed his own safety measures to prevent power core overloading and monitor any excess draining. You can take him as a sort of safety AI. I believe, that if I take a prototype of your weapons every now and then, I can test them in active combat and situations that can't be simulated in whatever labs you have. Of course- deals work with money. So attached to my offer of testing any prototypes you have, I can attach circa 500 Million Credits once anything "Exotic" is delivered to The Black Liner- from where my engineers will mount them on "CV-2400"- a prototype Jackdaw vessel with Bit mounted aboard. This vessel was specifically designed to take the most powerful weapons available on the market. You'd be surprised how Bit can turn an old model into a mustang.
Mr. Vaughn,
The deal seems promising and we have a variety of prototype weaponry we can build for your AI but keep in mind our engineers would require to rework a bit the vessel's internal systems such as the power plant, cooling system and power transfer conducts.
Also I'd need to ask you how do we want to proceed to the transportation of the materials.
We can either do it for you, for the 2000 Sirius Credits per unit price, or you can do it by yourself.
Also the construction can begin as soon as you wire to GRG|Bank the 500,000,000 Sirius Credits.
So you have a few choices for the weaponry, which you can see here (//access inrp restricted to only VHF weaponry).
I'm looking forward to see your choice.
The Photon Ray weaponry does look indeed interesting. I have one complaint, though. "CV-2400" is a very delicate fighter. It has seen fights and survived situations one wouldn't believe. The amount of damage the external hull plating can take is better than one could think for a Heavy Fighter. The internal power core and overall systems received extensive care to allow Bit to adapt any weapon as long as it is registered. If I give you this Jackdaw- and by default Bit: you will under no circumstances tinker with the subsystems connected to engines and especially power management. If you do- you better be careful. Little bastard, "Bit", has taken a lot of Azurite into his circuits.
Lastly- I'll do the deliveries myself. Money should be wired to your account by now.
Mr. Vaughn,
Your concerns are noted and we will ensure no unneeded risks are taken in the procedure
especially without any backups in place. Payment has been received so we will start
preparations immediately. Please deliver the materials at your earliest convenience so
we can ensure a fast and smooth process.
Additionally, we would like to discuss alternative methods of payment for future occurances.
How proficient are you in obtaining ships, salvaged or otherwise? A list would what kind of
ships are obtainable for you would be greatly appreciated. We are currently considering
investing in obtaining quite a few and are willing to offer you a cheaper deal in terms of
value in exchange for specific (salvageable) ships and vessels.
I can salvage ships. Not legally- that is. Added to that, The Black Liner- my good old Pilgrim Liner is a fully refitted version that has been only received upgrades over the years- especially from the Alster Union. What makes it so special? The engineers aboard are just good enough to fix a broken capital ship if it is moored with the Liner.
Now, I won't specifically salvage ships. But, what I can do is provide Military Salvage and fix it- then send it to you. Premium scrap is also a thing too, but that a little is more complicated, since I deal with radiation all day long. So all in all, I can do what you need, however before any deal is made regarding this matter, I'd like to know what ships do you need? I'll say you in short which I can provide and which not.
Mr. Vaughn,
Well depends on the options that you provide us, as we have interest in all the technology we can gather to study, and adapt for our needs.
Before I forget, here's the list of commodities required for the weaponry to be built. We'll be awaiting it on Ames Research Station in Kepler, where we are going to start to build them as soon as we get the materials.
Copper:125 units
Zinc:50 units
Silver: 75 units
Nanotubes: 100 units
Super Alloy: 150 units
Iridium: 75 units
Nanocapacitors: 50 units
Lasers: 25 units
Robotics: 50 units
Apologies for the silence. Aquiring said materials proved to be extremely hard as of late. The Black Liner aged badly, and its defensive capabilities lowered. Because of that- the Liner in question is currently setting course to Pacifica for refitting. Thus, I would like to change the deal with the GRG delivering the supplies in question with a payment of 2,000 Credits per unit. And by the way. Where do you want Bit to deliver "CV-2400"?
Mr. Vaughn,
I understand the circumstances, therefore I'll be informing our logistic teams to deliver said materials.
Also "Bit" can arrive at Ames Research Station in Kepler, Hangar Bay 3.
As soon as we delivered the commodities, we'll inform you.
