You cannot get bribes for the military factions or for the Order, so it will make it a pain for lawful military types to buy their Guard ID (have to do missions to max it out), but that too might help cut down on the amount of "independent" navy types around, since they can't buy their capital ship until they've gotten the ID, which of course they can't buy until they've got the Guard rep maxed out.

All you have to do is use open singleplayer (part of the mod anyways) to check out any system or ships you want, and you can set full friendly rep to everyone but nomads/wilde with it. I use open SP to 'try out' every ship before I buy one on the server.
If everyone had maxed out Guard rep what would happen in the end is everyone being red to us or us being red to them as the average player is red to 8 of out of 10 guard factions the only way to get a guard system rep up into neutral quickly is bribing after that it's hard working for us the would be a non stop flow of corsairs headed into OC guard systems or vice versa. That scary-ass Rhineland danger music would never stop.
I completely fail to see why the push for guard tags what's it achieve exactly I could get it on any of my characters right now just by flying round and dropping some missions but I'm really missing the point I guess.

Ooops. This is different from what the ID proposal thread says. Will the real one please stand up? No non combat vessel of 500 cargo size or larger; that rules out the Prison Liner and Armoured Transport that I bought just for RP. No fair.

1. Battleship Licenses
- fully agree with you
2. Battlecruisers
- well, the only Battlecruiser I see the most time is the Hunter one. (why they are not trying their Detroyers??) and they have a very good bomber too...
3. Guard Systems
- nothing to that, from light fighter up to a battlecruiser you can buy and fly everything with the right IFF/ID/RP, no need for register (just for Battleships)
- register capships in Cruiser-class would be nice, but you should not force them to do
(if they have good rp, they dont need to register, if they have bad rp = talk to them and learn them how things go, maybe they are great cruiser captains but just didnt know how to rp it right. Take good Indie-rp'lers at your hands and help them to become part of the factions rp)
4. Bombers
- nothing against the bombers...; you loose angainst them, then, well, you are not good enough.
I fought bombers in my orca and won and I fought bombers in my wrath and loose. And the next day my gb looses and my wrath wins... It's all according to your own skills, mate, and the skills of the others.

5. OORP Trade routes
Not remove trading route by admin (it's like "God's hand)
If trader pass trough a guard system, then well, they have to be prepared to be killed for that, no choice, no whining...
If the trader wishes to come again, well, then he get killed again, its just that easy...
Cause, like in Alaska, you can always say, they shouldnt have to go this way, if there is nobody there stopping them from doing so, they WILL DO IT.
And thats right i think, your guard systems, your trader problems and your trader-frags...

- much more easier, hauling the same stuff without passing through an order system... good smuggling-rp-route
2. The diamond/niobium route:
well, same as for the order space, seem to be dragons and chrysamthemes problems, so they should find a solution (fitting their rp, i think they will found a way to manage this quick)
S13-NB- jh couldnt be removed, think of the GMG history and the 80years-contract and the fights before.

Not really I suspect the majority of players are already green with their guard faction I don't see it solving any problems and if anything guard npcs are easier to manipulate than normal ones all it takes is missions.
If i wanted to I'm pretty sure I could make a character who could fly through every guard system in the game of course that would take planning and would be quite oorp.
Still I think if anyone actually believes this will solve anything they haven't actually thought it through what I see happening is factions will get more and more annoyed at players running into their systems to buy an ID. I see this adding to the hostility on the server.
Although maybe I'll switch my characters over anyway if it's already planned it's to late to debate it.
