"Somewhere more secluded."

For a moment she look a him as if he was stupid for wanting to give her that cash here, but she was glad the offer was there. Maybe he would hold up his end if tge deal. She shook her head as he carried on talking.

"yeah, I've thought about it. I will never call myself a Rogue. I could be swayed to come down as a friend, but the last time..... I will not go through that again..

And anyway, how do I know I could even trust you. I don't know who you are. Your name means nothing to me."

"Well, in that case, you'll have to just believe me" Shrugged "But lying would ruin my reputation. Lying to you would be self contradictory, unnecessary, and generally speaking, a dick move. As for who am I amongst our brothers and sisters, the fact that my men and I run almost every operation in South eastern Liberty should tell you enough.

He waited until she'd finish her meal, before moving outside, to hand Pita her credits

"I'm looking for capable people right now. I'd be honored, if you'd join our company, but I'll respect your decision."

"you're a Rogue, I'm surprised you worry about honesty, or your reputation."

She muttered, still watching his every move even whe eating her meal. What he did was of no concern to her, the fact he ran those only told her she needed to be even more wary.

She followed him outside and counted the credits as he spoke. When she spoke next she sounded bitter, but she had a reason to be.

" I will never call myself a Rogue, what your brothers and sisters had me do as a child is unforgivable."

After counting the cash she nodded a thanks, he hadn't undercut her, even after giving her the guards help. She pocketed this cash and shrugged slightly. She knew this would get her closer to familiar territory, and she was lost. With the last of these credits she was sure she would almost be able to pay her way.

" But. I now have enough credits to leave this god forsaken place, and I was planning on heading toward Liberty."

"I think we can work out something, then. I know you've seen things you shouldn't back then, and that choice wasn't yours. As I said, we're as far away from being saints as possible. But each and every one of us has his or her own morals, still.

She refrained from commenting about the morals. She disagreed at first, but then she remembered Buster. Not all of the Rogues were bad, but she still had no reason to think about returning.

"I'll fly with you toward Liberty. If I choose to leave, I will need your word that you will not stop me."

She needed to be sure before agreeing to anything more. After all, her hayabusa had no weaponry, there would be no way for her to fight her way out of any situation once they were in space.

"Deal. I can arrange a meeting with Hawthore, if you'd like to, too"

He studied Pita's reactions, and there was a slight chance she'd return. Dixon wanted her in, because she could obviously think on her own, not to mention the carefulness that seemed to be in her nature

Pita thought for a moment before shaking her head slightly.

"Let's see if we get there first."

She knew there was a chance this would be the worst decision she had made in a long time, but she was doing what she knew best making the most of a situation in a way that would help her.

She would never admit it, but she also knew there was a chance she wouldn't have to be on her own again. She wanted to keep this guard, especially if he had found out about the navy involvement in her leaving. The fact he didn't know had made her curious as to what the Rogues did know about her departure.

"Very well. Just tell me when you're ready"

Dixon turned around, and left towards the docks
