Great news. In the meantime, I managed to settle something with Liberty, so I have a small window to take the Black Liner through. It will come with something I personally think you will like. And it comes in the form of Azurite. Call it an extra payment for your trouble which will be delivered on our way to Texas. Oh, speaking of azurite. Bit has ingested quite a lot of it until I got to administer a solution to his addiction. It is unknown to me how much he got in his circuits - so don't mind if powercore overload happens. They subside easily...that is what I think happens at least.
Mr. Vaughn,
We are very aware of how Azurite works, and that's a quite generous gift.
For the modifications however, the vessel most probably will have the main reactor shut down, but again, we didn't have time to look into it.
Tomorrow we should have completed the weaponry's building so we'll have a closer look at this "special" ship, and hopefully everything will run smoothly.
First of all, I would like to apologize. You'll see why in a moment. Secondly, while testing all systems' integrity by shooting down flying nanobots and battery packs - just to test if Bit has a strong hold of the powercore, and for my own amusement - I met a Corsair vessel. In Kepler. And that's not the end of it. The same Corsair was chatting in a rather odd manner. And also it was carrying both Farmer Alliance and Corsair weaponry. The Corsair part is not that concerning, well, neither the other part. Moving on.
Below you will see an attached folder of what Bit has recorded. Ignore the urgh...whatever you think it displeases you. Anyway. I will let you see yourself what kind of Corsairs you harbor aboard Ames. Because yes, he - or she - landed on Ames as soon as Bit ticked him or her off.
[12.11.2019 16:16:02] Reaper.Ash.: You are awfully silent for the amount of environmental distortion you are causing.
[12.11.2019 16:16:48] CV-2400: Bit: And you are awfully - D-D-D-DYING IN M-M-MUD! - ah, uh.
[12.11.2019 16:17:02] CV-2400: K: ...he meant that you are awfully silent for a corsair.
[12.11.2019 16:18:18] Reaper.Ash.: Perhaps.
[12.11.2019 16:21:27] CV-2400: Bit: I need some Azu-
[12.11.2019 16:21:31] CV-2400: K: No.
[12.11.2019 16:22:07] Reaper.Ash.: Now that's clearly not a bipolar distortion. There is something more about this impure soul.
[12.11.2019 16:22:34] CV-2400: K: Soul? This clanker has no soul-
[12.11.2019 16:22:46] CV-2400: Bit: C-C-CLANKER?! APOLOGIZE!
[12.11.2019 16:23:09] Reaper.Ash.: But you do. Am i wrong?
[12.11.2019 16:23:30] CV-2400: K: I do. And what do you call impure is somewhat insulting.
[12.11.2019 16:23:52] CV-2400: Bit: ...I have a powercore, does it count as a soul?
[12.11.2019 16:24:17] Reaper.Ash.: Another sentient machine?
[12.11.2019 16:24:58] CV-2400: Bit: What do you mean another? I am the only - LOVELY FUCK-K-K-I-I-NG BIT! - ah, I meant urgh...
[12.11.2019 16:25:34] CV-2400: K: *audibly facepalms* Just...stay silent, would you?
[12.11.2019 16:26:09] Reaper.Ash.: This machine seems to be causing you trouble. Why not dispose of it?
[12.11.2019 16:26:38] CV-2400: Bit: *a recorded whistle plays for 3 seconds* - Well he caaaaan't...
[12.11.2019 16:26:55] CV-2400: K: ...It is complicated.
[12.11.2019 16:27:31] Reaper.Ash.: Complicated matters are common for me.
[12.11.2019 16:27:51] CV-2400: Bit: By complicated, he means "I can't get rid of my virtual friend that powers my ship and gets rid of fuel taxes".
[12.11.2019 16:28:13] Reaper.Ash.: So, it is a sentient machine.
[12.11.2019 16:28:35] CV-2400: K: Should I remind you that you're about to have surgery, while I'll be nice and comfy on a Collector?
[12.11.2019 16:29:14] Reaper.Ash.: Non-biological entities can not be subject to surgery.
[12.11.2019 16:29:16] CV-2400: Bit: Hol' up big guy. Pretty...PRETTY sure you mentioned only a few modifications. Not that I'll be - E--EVISCERATED TO BITS! -
[12.11.2019 16:30:53] Reaper.Ash.: I observe you are content with the conversation between the two of you. I will no longer interfere.
[12.11.2019 16:31:07] Reaper.Ash.: It might make you fall silent again sooner than later.
[12.11.2019 16:31:35] CV-2400: K: I doubt. This bastard won't allow it.
[12.11.2019 16:32:14] CV-2400: Bit: How could I let my best sharpshooter-friendo' die? I won't. Thats why I'll overload the powercore for endurace shooting.
[12.11.2019 16:32:32] CV-2400: Bit: You know the thing. More bullets, more damage! ...only that we have projectiles here.
[12.11.2019 16:33:26] Reaper.Ash.: Might as well cause as much damage to the vessel you are powering, sentient machine Bit.
[12.11.2019 16:34:13] CV-2400: Bit: Theoretically yes. Technically no. Azurite has hell of a kick.
[12.11.2019 16:34:43] Reaper.Ash.: Even so, it has a limit. Make sure you do not exceed it.
[12.11.2019 16:35:11] CV-2400: Bit: Yeah... Sure - B-B-BRING IT OOOOON BIIIITCH.
[12.11.2019 16:36:51] Reaper.Ash.: I have nothing to bring onto you, sentient machine.
[12.11.2019 16:37:43] Reaper.Ash.: Except the fact you are now causing even more environmental distortions - by being excessively noisy.
[12.11.2019 16:38:05] CV-2400: K: The idiot is broken.
[12.11.2019 16:38:45] CV-2400: Bit: I AM BROKEN? Who impaled my processor with...whatever you impaled me with!
[12.11.2019 16:38:55] CV-2400: K: ...lets...not get into that.
[12.11.2019 16:39:44] Reaper.Ash.: You, sentient machine, make this ship act like you are indeed broken. To a degree.
[12.11.2019 16:40:14] CV-2400: K: No, that's just me shooting flying life pods.
[12.11.2019 16:40:28] CV-2400: K: Its a good hobby to pass the time.
[12.11.2019 16:40:49] Reaper.Ash.: Quite a waste of blood.
[12.11.2019 16:41:05] CV-2400: Bit: Look who's talking. A cannibal.
[12.11.2019 16:41:43] Reaper.Ash.: The concept of adopted cannibalism on Crete is a false one.
[12.11.2019 16:42:38] CV-2400: Bit: Sure thing. As if I didn't myself - V-V-VISIT THE CANCEROUS C-CRETE- ...uh. Where did that come from.
[12.11.2019 16:43:47] Reaper.Ash.: Whetever you choose to believe my words or not is your choice. I will not object.
[12.11.2019 16:44:10] Reaper.Ash.: Yet, simply state the truth to see if you are willing to be disillusioned.
[12.11.2019 16:44:30] Reaper.Ash.: Apparently, you prefer to live in a partially fake reality.
[12.11.2019 16:45:17] CV-2400: K: This time I am with Bit. We don't even know you. So what gives us an assurance that you don't lie?
[12.11.2019 16:46:03] CV-2400: K: We're here for an appointment. But you? A Corsair that is a tad too far from Bretonia.
[12.11.2019 16:46:32] Reaper.Ash.: Their time will inevitably come.
[12.11.2019 16:46:39] Reaper.Ash.: For now - i have my interests here.
[12.11.2019 16:47:11] CV-2400: K: So your interests are idling in space with farmer weaponry.
[12.11.2019 16:47:17] Reaper.Ash.: I go by the name of Ash - if it eases your burden of lack of knowledge.
[12.11.2019 16:47:48] Reaper.Ash.: You only operate the immediate surface facts? Expected you to be smarted.
[12.11.2019 16:47:52] Reaper.Ash.: *smarter.
[12.11.2019 16:48:02] CV-2400: Bit: Ash? - A-A-ARE YOU THE BYPRODUCT OF CORSAIR'S BURNT MEAL? HA-HAAAAAAA - uh.
[12.11.2019 16:48:27] Reaper.Ash.: I may assume your interest here in devestating jettisoned lifepods with a particularly devastating weapon.
[12.11.2019 16:48:42] CV-2400: Bit: Yes.
[12.11.2019 16:49:02] CV-2400: K: Technically...yes. Collecting data in a more special way. With targets, that is.
[12.11.2019 16:49:21] Reaper.Ash.: Yet you mentioned an appointment.
[12.11.2019 16:49:50] CV-2400: K: Appointments require data. Data is collected via experimenting - in a ship's case.
[12.11.2019 16:50:21] Reaper.Ash.: Then you seem to be lacking subjects for your experiment.
[12.11.2019 16:51:03] CV-2400: K: So? More will come. I'm not rushing.
[12.11.2019 16:51:29] CV-2400: Bit: B-BURN THE CORSAIR S-SCUM! MAKE HIM POWDERED ASH! - I...did...not mean that. I swear.
[12.11.2019 16:51:49] Reaper.Ash.: Whatever you are content with, sentient machine.
[12.11.2019 16:51:59] Tip: Did you end up lost? Can't find your way back? Use the Interactive NavMap on our forums.
[12.11.2019 16:52:10] Reaper.Ash.: I still recommend against unprovoked violence.
[12.11.2019 16:52:17] CV-2400: K: ...quick question. You are near Ames. So that gives you business with some Zoners.
[12.11.2019 16:52:25] CV-2400: K: Yes or no?
[12.11.2019 16:52:32] Reaper.Ash.: No.
[12.11.2019 16:52:49] CV-2400: K: So that's a yes.
[12.11.2019 16:52:53] CV-2400: Bit: Yeah it's a yes.
[12.11.2019 16:53:27] Reaper.Ash.: If you are content with the assumption of what i have provided you with is a lie.
[12.11.2019 16:53:42] Reaper.Ash.: But what if your assumption is a false one?
[12.11.2019 16:54:08] CV-2400: Bit: Don't know. Don't care.
[12.11.2019 16:54:31] Reaper.Ash.: An exemplary arrogance.
[12.11.2019 16:56:14] CV-2400: Bit: I mean, its not me speaking in funny quotes. Funny quotes and whatever else you do.
[12.11.2019 16:56:24] CV-2400: K: ...how about no.
[12.11.2019 16:56:40] Reaper.Ash.: This is my manner of speech. Cope with it.
[12.11.2019 16:57:01] CV-2400: Bit: ...no wonder no one likes you, then...*chuckles* I mean what?
[12.11.2019 16:57:47] Reaper.Ash.: I only care for the affinity of my beloved sister. Everyone else is insignificant.
[12.11.2019 16:58:59] Death: Cindy was put out of action by Apple.Pie (Gun).
[12.11.2019 16:59:17] CV-2400: K: *audibly wheezes, as if trying to hold back from bursting in laughter, then chuckles* - Okay. Lovely. *intense chuckling*
[12.11.2019 16:59:25] CV-2400: Bit: Kyle...
[12.11.2019 16:59:31] CV-2400: K: ...no?
[12.11.2019 16:59:38] CV-2400: Bit: Spit it out.
[12.11.2019 16:59:43] CV-2400: K: ...no.
[12.11.2019 17:00:13] Reaper.Ash.: You are not obliged to force yourself into anything.
[12.11.2019 17:01:25] CV-2400: Bit: Oh so you two are some inbred lesbians? Or...? I am really curious how corsair monks work, really. Well, not "work".
[12.11.2019 17:01:42] CV-2400: K: *wheezing*- Just stop you idiot.
[12.11.2019 17:02:08] Reaper.Ash.: Perhaps.
[12.11.2019 17:04:23] CV-2400: K: Now that is concerning.
[12.11.2019 17:04:59] CV-2400: K: Explain to me why is your ship tagged with "Reaper" on the Identification, though. Some sort of Corsair lord or...?
[12.11.2019 17:05:57] Death: MNS-mrNobody was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[12.11.2019 17:06:42] Reaper.Ash.: Why the sudden excitement?
[12.11.2019 17:06:56] CV-2400: K: Just for my knowledge.
[12.11.2019 17:07:09] CV-2400: Bit: You're going to do jokes about it, right
[12.11.2019 17:07:37] CV-2400: K: Hmm...no. I am just interested.
[12.11.2019 17:07:53] Reaper.Ash.: Then i will just keep it for myself.
[12.11.2019 17:09:02] CV-2400: Bit: So, crazy woman. Not sure its a woman. Could be a male. Or both - god forbid. Anyway.
[12.11.2019 17:09:25] CV-2400: Bit: Crazy woman, prays to some "reaper" I guess. Corsair Monk. Hmmm...ever experienced asthma?
[12.11.2019 17:09:34] CV-2400: K: What are you doing, even?
[12.11.2019 17:09:43] CV-2400: Bit: Mmmmm...just brainstorming.
[12.11.2019 17:10:46] Reaper.Ash.: Still very far from the truth.
[12.11.2019 17:11:06] CV-2400: Bit: Back to the subject. What did I miss...oh. Cannibalism. Right. Hm...anywhere close to having a big lunch out of Sirius?
[12.11.2019 17:11:13] CV-2400: Bit: Surely thats any Corsair's dream.
[12.11.2019 17:11:41] Reaper.Ash.: I suggest you scrap that delusional machine.
[12.11.2019 17:11:54] CV-2400: Bit: Getting pissed already? Means I'm close!
[12.11.2019 17:12:10] 2019-11-12 17:12:10 SMT Traffic control alert: Reaper.Ash. has requested to dock
Mr. Vaughn,
It has been some time since we last spoke. Hopefully this communication finds you well.
I'm here to offer you work. It's about salvaging two Cruiser wrecks, namely Bretonian "Crecy" Destroyer.
We already have authorisation to extract them, the Genesis would like to rely on your salvaging capabilities.
We'd obviously need them as intact as possible, transported to Corinth Research Station where you'll meet our people.
We are going to pay 45,000,000 Sirius Credits per wreck, making a total of 90,000,000 Sirius Credits, on delivery of course.
I'd like to receive confirmation if you can take on this job, so I can inform the Bretonians of your arrival.
It has definitely been a while since we last had a talk about business. I like that you thought about the Voltaics to salvage such types of wrecks. I do hope you considered however that Bretonians don't like Junkers that much snooping in without permission, so I'll ask you to double-check your wording when you present the Voltaic Junkers to the Bretonian Government. Why don't want to start on the wrong foot, yes?
Now, about the "Crecy" cruisers. Sure, I could spare a Salvaging crew or two. But you see, these people could be used in far more important tasks. There are debris fields that could really use some cleanup, so why do you think they'd be motivated enough to tow two Crecy Destroyers wherever God would lay his finger on. We're business partners and all, but your offered price is too low right now. Maybe a 65 Million per Crecy should fit this task. Afterall, you want us to tow two massive ships with Salvagers. And possibly with Nomads snooping at them aswell. Escorts cost. Salvagers cost to maintain in such situations.
Mr. Vaughn,
Do not worry about Bretonians, we are going to take care of it.
As for the payment, we got a deal.
One of our operative will get in touch of youto set up some extra security aswell, to ensure this pursues smoothly.
I'm hoping this doesn't cause any problems.
Good to hear. Except one thing: I didn't get any new mails as of late from your people? Do you have a problem with setting the playground for my people to do the work? Did you backtrack and cancelled the contract without saying anything? I can't accept a deal when I don't know if my Salvagers can take care of your Destroyers - and the risks are pretty darn high right here.
