This thread is possibly the most intermittent thread I can think of on this forum. Haven't seen it in a while though.
Connecticut is absolutely fine and is not a magic player count increase waiting to be harvested. It's a system used for safe storage, safe transfers, pvp training and oorp no-strings pvp fun. This is perfectly fine and absolutely constructive.
Removing it would deprive us of these positive amenities, which is bad, and definitely not automatically mean there are another 20 people to interact with in the live game. In fact, quite the opposite - if I want to be in Conn but there is no Conn, I won't be roleplaying in New York, I simply won't be on the server whatsoever.
Connecticut is an integral and beneficial mainstay of Discovery Freelancer that is not going anywhere, and if it did, its loss would be very much detrimental.

I think the players that currently sit in Connecticut, would, for the most part, just not log in at all. It's a convenient place to shoot people with all sorts of loadouts (You can't conveniently do a "practice" Lynx vs Guardian duel in Virginia).
But I've also been annoyed at seeing 30 people in Conn that I would love to shoot outside of there instead, so I get where you're coming from in that regard.
I see where you're coming from, but removing or making any changes to Conn doesn't help at all. This is an opportunity to grow as a community by avoiding Conn if possible. Let's fly through enemy territory and spam their emergency chat if we're looking for fights!
