Greetings,
It is with great honor that I am before you today to request your assistance in the repairs and refit of the Akhetaten, an Osiris-class Liberty Navy owned Battleship. Allow me to help you get up to date with the events in light of which I came to contact you today. The Akhetaten was an Intelligence-gathering vessel, the crew of which I joined at 811, roughly 16 years ago. The Akhetaten has been on various missions ranging from a simple scout of a sector to offensive operations. The Akhetaten's last mission took place at 824 A.S. when the ship was requested to rendezvous with a Liberty fleet in Manchester so as to reinforce the line against the Gallic forces and prevent them from completely occupying the system and moving on to Cortez, thus deeming the situation in California a lot more difficult to deal with. The forces we were about to meet in Manchester well held back by unknown to us reasons and the Gallic fleets took this chance to attack us while we were without cover. The Akhetaten suffered heavy casualties, among them the ship's Captain and the majority of the crew. The later-arriving reinforcements salvaged what was left of the ship along with a few remaining survivors with m being among them.
After 2 years of a coma that doctor's would describe as an extremely lucky case, I was awake and just a few weeks after that my body had fully recovered from the state of the coma. I do not know much more than what I mentioned already, and even that is information that was told to me by other people. Command decided that me being the highest-ranking person alive from the crew, commanding of the ship should be passed on to me, and it just so happened with my promotion to the rank of Captain at the age of 34, after which I began to take on the challenge of repairing the Akhetaten.
Which brings me to the reason of contacting the First Fleet. I have contacted the Fifth Fleet and requested the repurpose of the Akhetaten to join the ranks of the Liberty Navy Secondary Fleet, and support the Primary Fleets in the upholding of Laws and defending of Liberty. However, the ship's current equipment is outdated, and it will be of no use in any combat situation. I hereby request that the Akhetaten receives the equipment upgrades that are required for it to be relevant with today's standards, mainly of course in terms of it's weapon systems. I am also requesting that a Jump Drive Mk.IV is also installed on the Akhetaten, for the purpose of rapid fleet movement and deployment, should that ever be necessary.
Below I will list the repairs that the Akhetaten has gone through in the dry docks of Norfolk Shipyard, and the equipment that does not need an upgrade:
Name
Status
External Hull
Repaired
Long Range Scanners
Operational
Docking Bay
Operational
Shield Generator
Operational
Should my request be approved, and after the installment of the mentioned weaponry on the ship, I will be coming into contact with the Liberty Security force for the fine-tuning and optimization of the ship's components to run smoothly with today's Liberty technology. After that the Akhetaten will be field tested to make sure everything works properly and as intended, as well as to ensure that the ship's core is working optimally, before being sent back into the ranks of the Secondary Fleet.

Captain Edwards,
Certainly not the first time an Osiris has flown Navy colors, hopefully however, this time it stays that way. Your request for further retrofit and upgrading has been granted, command advises that Akhetaten moves to Juneau drydock for the remaining of its retrofit period, where it will find more ample solutions and upgrading to be far more relevant and easier to maintain - needless to say safer.
External Security and Research Division might be able to provide further aid in developing and adapting needed equipment on the Osiris, should the division decide to spare any resources for this matter as it's currently busy handling handling the Willard incident. Regardless, there are a couple of points that need to be clear.
As you should be well aware, central command's stance and behavior towards the utilization of foreign warships - let alone an Osiris - has changed drastically; due to a certain incident regarding another Osiris belonging to the Fifth that now operates with a hostile transponder. Thus, command will be enforcing a list of rules that the warship under your command should abide by:
Akhetaten will be confined to Liberty core space namely: New York, Alaska, California, Colorado, Ontario, Texas, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
Under no circumstance will Akhetaten leave the aforementioned territory.
Regular reports of the battleship's operations and performance should be reported to central command to monitor the effectiveness and backlog of the battleship's activities.
Advanced or special operations outside core space can be approved by members of CENTCOM of the primary fleets and will override the previous directives.
The perseverance of the battleship in good condition and under the arms of the Liberty Navy is of utmost importance, alongside useful and proper employment of the technology and capabilities it provides. The First fleet will assist where it can. Should you have any further or detailed inquiries, go ahead. We hope that you're up to the task ahead of you.
That is all,

Admiral Reaser,
First of all I would like to thank you for the swift response, as I am aware that due to the tragedy which took place in Willard you have a lot of things to attend to. Getting back to the subject, as you are aware from our meeting outside Norfolk a few days ago, I came across the defecting Osiris that you are referring to. I can assure you, Admiral, that the Akhetaten will not follow a path similar to that ship, provided I am her Captain. The Akhetaten shall remain under Navy colors, the same way it has been since it's manufacturing.
I will take care of the Akhetaten's move to Juneau shipyard in due time, as for the ESRD's assistance, I will get back to you on the matter should I need it; as I stated I will be contacting the Security Force for the matter of adapting the equipment received to the Osiris' needs. I am aware of the ESRD's minimum available resources and I do not wish to put further pressure on you.
Last but not least, the Akhetaten will comply to the rules set by command. Your trust will not be proven misplaced, Admiral.
We will be in contact should that need arise, Captain Edwards out.

Greetings Admiral Reaser,
I am reaching out to you today in regard to the terms of the Akhetaten's current zone of operations. More specifically, in light of the most recent Operation "Red Flag", I am planning to have the Akhetaten be part of it. This, of course, based on the current in-effect terms requires your allowance.
I hereby request permission that the Akhetaten is allowed to operate in the Hudson system during operation "Red Flag", and until mentioned operation is complete.
Thank you for your time and your support, Admiral.

Captain Edwards,
I would like to be given a reason as to why I should greenlight an Osiris to run security detail for low-level diplomatic talks while an Overlord, or even an Interdictor could do the same just fine, with most likely fewer expenses and lesser risks.
I'm fairly certain the ship you're assigned requires you to fulfill more promising and critical assignments and not to waste it running security detail.

Admiral Reaser,
The reasoning behind my request is rather simple - I believe it will be less of an expense if a vessel that's part of a secondary fleet makes the trip to Hudson for the diplomatic talks as the primary fleets remain in core Liberty space. Needless to say, a light battleship will only be part of the 'heavier' division of security as more Naval vessels will be part of the convoy. The Akhetaten will be in position in case things go wrong either with the Rheinland officials or Insurgency coming by to eavesdrop.
An Interdictor does not simply have access to the firepower an Osiris has, while the Osiris is at the same time a lot more profitable to move to Hudson preemptively, should heavy support be necessary.

Captain Edwards,
Very well. Since you insist so much, I'll trust your judgment. The Akhetaten is cleared to join the aforementioned operation. Godspeed, Captain.
