We would like to ask you to reconsider the availability of acquiring lifetime license at least one time. When we chose to be building in Liberty, we chose it because your laws were not suffocating small businesses. They were given freedom and liberty in choosing which level of license we can acquire, allowing us to build economical strategy according to it, and the step to get a lifetime license was preplanned at the beginning. With the removal of freedom to choose, we calculate it would make us closed, killing already planned ideas in the middle of it, as possible income could be lower than outcome.
We ask you to give us the liberty of having a choice.
Best regards, Raul Golden, administrator of Interstellar beacon.
Your permanent license request has been reviewed and approved. We will be adding your permanent license after payment of 1.000.000.000 credits is made to Liberty-Bank-001 with evidence attached to this transmission.
- William Hawthorne, Director of License Requisition Center
We were quite depressed with things going around. Your decision helped us, to restore some of our faith in a brighter future.
We are transferring payment for the license.
We would like to ask in advance permission to build up to four weapon platforms in case of need. In our current plans, we think that one is more than enough for us, just to have as testing work field, to get some tinkering with it. We have a small project in mind, that requires external placement for equipment on at least one platform. We are afraid, that if we would be performing the project inside the base, it would be too unsafe for our hull integrity in case containment force field would fail or any similar disaster would happen.
Three more aren't really that required, and planned to be built only in case of emergency, as we don't have spare resources enough yet to get them, but better be safe than sorry, and just get a license for them in advance, as bureaucracy can be going quite long, and during some crisis it would be required quite swiftly.

All right. Let's go with a minimal request then. We need permission for at least one platform for the previously mentioned scientific purposes. That would be enough for us.
Video signal appears, a man turning working station in a laboratory with disorder of devices and things around. He slightly frowned, but good mood made appearance on his face again.
A shame, shame. And we don't even know why we were denied this time. No problem though. As we said it was for scientific purpose anyway. We managed to resolve the problem by creating decent enough virtual simulation where we tried our ideas with a singular recreated model of a weapon platform. Some half positive results were received, but not what we were expecting to get.
The results aren't conclusive though. We aren't 100% sure that virtual simulation was precise enough to include all parameters through it. And we slightly suspect that real-world experiments could end up with a different result, but the likelihood of it was estimated to happen with less than a 5% chance. Good enough for us to abandon the project for now.

The man extended a hand to turn off video link when it was frozen while he was in deep thoughts. after small time It looked like a light bulb appearing over his head, an idea which was born. Feeling enthusiasm he turned off video link quickly.
Video signal appears with Raul Golden on screen in official business atire. He glances at it from time to time, finding as uncomfortable clothes and thinking... perhaps he could do it in his favourite t-shirt instead?
Good day, Liberty Government.
The was a time when we asked for weapon platform permission, and then unexplained we were denied even one for field tests. Thankfully we were able to work with virtual simulations enough mostly to evaluate the issue. But that's not the point.
Our product managers made an analysis of possible causes' and problems concerning them and found a quite.... sensitive trigger mechanism without analytic block to choose targets more carefully. We understand that a possible reason for denial could be... safety issues coming from those not fully developed platforms. Any passing citizen could bump them and be annihilated on spot the moment. Are we right?
Have no worry! Our company made the work to fix the problem. Once it is applied, it will eliminate the issue, and weapon platforms will not fire at neutral ships by accident, unless if they made a considerable effort to cause damage. We think that the damage equivalent of two nova torpedos is good enough to show explicit hostile intentions.
Therefore, since the issue would be illuminated and it would be thanks to us. We ask you to reconsider your decision and grant Interstellar Beacon rights to build weapon platforms. We would make them in a neutral only mod to everything, so they will not fire at 'anything' at all unless it fires at our station. Disruption of any law enforcement work will be not.
