Mekong Station was constructed in 827 A.S. as the Gas Miners Guild base of operations in the fledgling Sigma-21 system. It acts as a store for the uranium ore exploited in the nearby Da Nang Field and a force projection platform from which GMG strives to ratify its claim on the system and valuable Planet Saigon.
