Quote:If you look at the video showing FP7, you will see the trio of suns in the background. If you look close enough you can identify them as the Sigma-17 suns.
Which makes bringing Trent to Manhattan in the beginning of SP completely illogical. Even if the survivors must've been delivered to nearest capital planet, it would've been New Tokyo or New Berlin. Many planets are much closer. But flying through all Rheinland (or rather Kusari) to Liberty through Independent Worlds... heh...
I think the game designers just wanted the game to start in the center of the galaxy, instead of one side, then going through to the other side, you go from middle and go in a circle around the galaxy, and eventually end up back in NY from the opposite side you left from.
Correct me if I am wrong in this assumption, but those slots are for equipping different cargo pods in an attempt to give the Large Train and other Transports a little variety.
However, I regret to inform you the attempt has failed. Once you un-mount the standard pods, nothing else can be put in their place. At least, not the intended pods. I now have a "naked" Large Train in my possession after I had attempted to slap on red cargo pods.
I just wanted to say that the Talon seems to have a little immunity to missiles. *ducks*
Two Cannonball Missiles took only about a quarter of my hull.. if I remember correctly, they should have taken 9000+ points off.
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
an item you can buy from commodities dealer called "Tracker", reasonabldy expensive but not too much (100k maybe)
when this item is in your hold, you may type /track playername
for 10seconds, a small ship icon will appear on your nav map showing the position the player you tracked was. it is stationary - it doesnt follow them if they move, it only appears if they are in the same system as you and are not docked. you get one /track try per Tracker bought.
That actually sounds a bit useful for bounty hunters and what-not. Although, only one track command per tracker would get a little excessive...
Perhaps, instead, we keep everything, but the tracker works for 5 to 10 seconds (Still does not show if the ship is moving, just where it is), then has a 30 second cool-down where it will not work.
If that's possible, it would make hunting a bit easier. At the moment, all us hunters have to go by is what system they're in. It get's just a bit annoying at times, especially when the target taunts you that they outsmarted you (Once i'm not in visual range of the target for a bit, i'll probably just give up. I'll never find them, unless I guess lucky).
This is the real true story of rock and roll; it was not about anything more then, how to live your life, as a gangster, in sartorial splendor, and turning the world into a place where normality would never return again...- Malcolm McLaren
that is the idea, whether its possible to implement such a thing or not i dont know. it mite be possible on a level where typing track puts you into a group with that person for 10seconds, so you can see where they are and then closes the group or something, if its not possible any other way.
Out this morning, and when I entered CA from Magellan, I picked up a phantom trade lane ring that followed me all the way to Manhattan. Once this glitch presents, the only way to lose it is to dock..
Hard to describe... usually starts on starboard site as lighted rings w/ streamers, just as if a second trade lane were there...
