Hanna was the second of three children of Willy Reitsch, a doctor leading an opthalmic clinic on Planet New Berlin. Even in younger years Hanna dreamt about flying, leading to her enlistment for a sailplain club. Getting knowledge about the basics of atmosphere flight and breaking several records for female pilots within the club she left for studying. 5 Years later when she finished her Abitur she returned to her passion.
While switching from sailplain to motorized airplaines she quickly established a deep friendship with an veteran of the Rheinland/Liberty war,which told her about the non atmospheric flight. When he offered her a flight on his old Phantom, she didn't hesitate to accept that opportunity to expand her horizon about this new form of flying. When they finally had left the Orbit of New Berlin and she was allowed to steer the fighter, she was overwhelmed by the new kind of flying. Causing her problems in the first times,she quickly adopted and as the weeks passed by she became better and better. After two month of continuely training she finally got the veteran's approval that she was allowed to fly the fighter even when he wasn't around.
After one of her flights, when she landed back on the airfield a young woman made her way up to her fighter. After a talking of 60 Minutes,she accepted her invitation for the recruitment event of the Rheinland Military. Beeing at the top end of the field of the recruits there,she was invited to join the Military ranks.
