This is based on the original design I proposed to Director Enfield some time ago. The patriot and fighter in me wants to destroy everything related to this, but the scientist needs to know more. This weapon could be a huge potential breakthrough, this could also lead to medical/power/construction advances across Sirius. The concept of a power source greater than a Dyson sphere would propel humanity centuries into the future.
I am building the first fighter-grade prototype on my own. The project will continue on [REDACTED] until I can say for certain I trust our new Director.
Ion Compression:
This concept is extremely dangerous, tweaking atomic properties with stable atoms renders drastic changes in chemistry which often results in devastating levels of destruction. Doing the same with charged atoms is by all means cruel and unusual. Creating such an effect requires an astronomical amount of precision and maintenance to ensure the user doesn't die. The formula and detailed schematics will remain with me for these reasons.

This might actually be it: The Earhart Defense system, the Suhl anomaly Research, my Ion compression formula, my research. It all bands together to create a weapon of such size and scale that could silence our enemies once and for all - in theory.
Still, I'm hesitant to re-open this Pandora's box. VENOM was a mighty success, and BATRACHOTOXIN is showing a similar promise. But a weapon of this scale could easily fall into the wrong hands - and there is no telling what the consequences could be.
Once Revenant delivers these scans, I'll be able to slowly start piecing together this puzzle.
Suhl Anomaly:
Pulling scans from Meningen shows just exactly why you need /experts/ in the field that implement safety precautions. Slipspace weapons and travel require some pretty precise planning and calculations - better left to an AI than humans. Travel is really an anomaly to me, but Geoff - his research with "Zealous" may shed some light on this. He perfected the technology for a cloaking system and remote jumping system. I need to hurry and pull those files before someone else stumbles upon them, I have a feeling this "Civil Servant" may be someone who was formerly in our ranks.

This is the draft so far, we're going to need so much Vanadium and Iridium to make this work. Might as well start looking for more income streams to keep this on the low. But, I digress, the concept is a scaled version of the original NEUROTOXIN MK1 design. We've carved out a piece of land on Weimar that we should be able to lock down relatively simply. The Ion Compression chamber will be scaled appropriately and supercharged by the artifact we uncovered. The real hurdle is still utilizing a working targeting system. Even with the painted target, adjustments for planetary orbit and space expansion will be necessary to make a precision shot. This AI the Core has promised me has already been proven folly. I guess it'll boil down to whatever scans Revenant has mixed with a bit of our own.
Supercharging the chamber is something we cannot reliably test via trial and error due to the extreme nature of this alien artifact. It'll once again boil down to mathematics and 100% accountability. All we need is a single shot, after that - the weapon will destabilize. THIS IS INTENTIONAL, UPON DISCHARGE THE WEAPON WILL NO LONGER REMAIN ANONYMOUS TO MILITARY AND BUNDSCHUH PERSONNEL DUE TO EXTREME POWER SURGE. DESTRUCTION OF THE WEAPON POST-DISCHARGE IS NECESSARY TO CONCEAL WEAPON DESIGN AND ION COMPRESSION CONCEPT.
It's astounding the Dom'Kavash weren't able to simplify things for themselves. They all must've been masterminds, because if even one of our best scientists found this it would take years to figure out how to put it to use without the assistance of VI and analytical technology.
It appears as though the Dom'Kavash had several fail safes and other methods to safeguard how and when the artifact diverts and gives off energy. This makes it difficult to figure out exactly how much energy the artifact is capable of delivering. Luckily for us, my superweapon design is primitive in comparison to the average energy readings we get from the artifact. From our latest scans, it appears as though this artifact could hypothetically supply 3 of my NEUROTOXIN MK2 designs at once. It makes me think just how far the Dom'Kavash could push the limits of warfare, travel, and medical capabilities.
To make this a one-off, we'll need to trick the artifact into delivering more power during the discharge. The obvious solution would be to attach the weapons power supply system to something like our base here on Weimar - or maybe another one of my designs...
Ion Compression Supercharge:
The vault used to compress and rip apart ions before discharge has been increased by an astounding 800% for the weapon design. It's a pity this will only be used once, I can only imagine what this would be capable of if we managed to utilize it in another design... Still, it's shocking to me that this concept isn't sought after by others already. The term "W.M.D" is all that's associated with this concept, but it could be used for so much more.
The amount of Vanadium and iridium needed will draw attention and be traceable if the weapon is not destroyed afterward. In the event this proves to be the case, I'll need to vaporize the site through other means. If anyone were to discover how we made this work... ugh I don't want to be looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life.

Well I've managed to cover my tracks well enough, god knows what kinds of parties will be scrounging to find the remnants of what obliterated an entire station in the span of a few seconds. Overcharging the "Dragon's Egg" left behind nearly nothing, almost as if the artifact's failsafe split half its power for the Kolleda & the other half for Valhalla.
NEUROTOXIN is in near shambles, even if the weapon's outline is discovered the intricacies behind the ion compression concept are concealed. FOLKVAGNR will attempt to recover as much as possible to see if there were any unintended side effects, but I'm confident I can continue with the MK3 variant.
Just need to convince Henze for the time to build another Elbe.
Cruel, unusual, volatile. Looks like it had exactly the intended effect, the after-effect of the weapon was much larger than I had originally anticipated. RAD levels close to Valhalla will eat through almost any ship instantly - aliens included.
A worthy sales pitch for a chance to recreate the event in Omega-58.
Still, the next NEUROTOXIN iteration will need to have varying power consumption. Too much unstable plasma in a live combat zone being used repeatedly could lead to devastating consequences. Especially if used along critical trade routes or bordering systems. The last thing anyone wants is another Munich Disaster.
I can see it now though, a weapon that not only does the initial damage but corrodes deep into the vessel's armor, affecting the vessel crew - or nerves, in the aftermath.
Geoff and Revenant think they can't use brute force, we'll see about that.
