she looks down on her Companion and Playfully and Carefully Pulls on one of her ears. "I am sorry that this little one here made you so many problems, she was always very Fixed on me even as a Kitten." She looked Suprised and looked down on Niki while she Rubbed her belly, not all Cats like that but Niki Enjoys it and Rewarded her with a happy Purring and tried to get as much Contact as she could. after a while, she looked up to Doc and there was Confusion on her face "I can't tell you what that means, at least not Fully I think. there is total Chaos in my Head, I cant even Remember my own Name right now." she makes a Sour face as she Tryed to Remember at least her Name.
as the Nurse Returned with a Big Pillow and some Cat Stuff like a Toilet she smiled, she cuddles her Cat a bit more before Niki gets up and Inspects her new Possessions. "I can remember some things like Niki's name or that she is my Cat, but I can't remember mine." She looks sick all of a sudden and looks around. till she Found a little Trashcan and Starts To vomit into it after a while she looks up again and into Doc's eyes. "I think I have Killed someone, no not Somone, I think it was my Husband. we had a Fight and I resisted for the First time. I hit him too and......" she Vomits again into the Trashcan and her Face becomes all white and Pale. "He Stumbled over a Bottle and Fell back over the Couch, i.......I think he had Broke his Neck." Niki Returns to her and Rubbs her head at the Woman who seemed to help her, the Cat made a Deep Purring that seemed to Calm the Woman. "I am Remember that it wasn't the First time he had Punched me, but this time he wanted to Hurt Niki too and something in me Snaped." she Vomits again and her Cat made a Worried Meow. "I have Killed him, and I don't even know his or my Name. I don't even know how I shall Pay for all this Care, I don't know anything, and when I try to Remember I find only Emptiness in my head."
She had begun to Cry and tears Runn down her face her Cat Niki tried to cheer her up as good as she could she know that the Woman wasn't a bad person. she Purred and Licked the Tears off her face but the Woman didn't Calm down, after a while, she looked to Doc Holliday and meowed at him what means "Help me she had done nothing wrong she doesn't deserve to suffer like this." she had a Begging in her eyes as she tryed to Calm her Twinsoul.

Doc had heard stories like this before. Sadly, they never ceased to stop coming. Thinking of his own failed marriage, he felt like a saint every time he heard a story like this. Sonja, as he learned her name to be, was an average framed woman, no match for a large man and the story incensed him enough to have to get up and walk across the room for a minute. Michelle, an abuse survivor herself, stayed with her. Doc's anger of the subject was visible to her as Michelle just gave a quiet look in his direction. Sonja still couldn't turn her head yet so she wouldn't have noticed.
"It's OK," said Michelle as she wiped her face with a tissue. She then sighed, "I understand. You have no idea." She also started changing the dressings on her wounds per Doc's request. Exposing the body of a female patient was left to female staff per Med Force SOP or at least being present. As she worked, Doc returned to her side. While Michelle worked, he returned to her side. He administered her next round of medicine and changed her IV bag. Michelle finished her work and stayed with her.
"Listen," Doc explained, "I know that your memory is shady but we found your identification in your ship. Sonja is your name. For now, do not worry about what happened. You are safe here and the only law in Baffin is Zoner law so try to relax. I do not mind the cat so long as she keeps away from the equipment and does not get into your bandages."
He examined her face, looking at the healing. "If you wish, I can have some food brought in. It is better than what is coming through that tube."
With that, Michelle tied up the bag in the trash can and ordered another be brought in. Doc awaited Sonja's reply, not wanting to assume she was ready to eat.
the woman looks at Michelle and she saw someone like herself that look in her eyes how often did she looked in the Mirror with the Same Look. it was one of a Person that knows the Pain all too well. it Calmed the Woman a bit to know that she wasn't alone, Michelle Looked like someone that had Mastered her way back into Life. she sniffed a bit and gave her a Light Smile. "thank you...." she had to Read the Nametag "thank you, Michelle" she looked over to Niki that had Returned and gave the Nurse a Thankful Meow before she Cuddles at her Twinsoul again.
the Cat was very careful, she doesn't understand fully why her Twinsoul was Connected with all those Machines and Tubes but they Looked Important so she left them alone. "I think Niki won't make any Problems with your Equipment she just wants to be near me, she was always a really Cuddle Hungry Kitty." She smiled as a Memory of Niki as a Baby Returned to her. but then her eyes became Big as some More memories Return after she heard her name. "I Lived on Freeport 5 in Omega 41. I Liked to watch the Neutron Star and I wanted to Study." she made a Sour Face as she Cant Remember More, the Rest of her Past was Still in Shadows and Darkness.
"what if the Rest Will never Return? what if I will not Remember my Past?" she looked at Niki and Smiled at her for a while, she Carresed the Sweet Spot between her ears and made the Litle Furball Purr loud and happy. after a while, Sonja looked at Holliday. "I think a Tea would be good I still feel a bit sick, but I would like to try and eat something." she tried to smile, but it was clear that she was still a bit Scared and that the Memory of the Fight with her Husband still Shocked her.

"Tea," Doc repeated. "Michelle, if you would not mind taking care of that."
"Yes, Doctor," she replied as she got up and left to fulfill Sonja's wishes.
Doc settled down next to his patient and was just calm with her. "Give yourself some time. You have been through a very traumatic event. I am not psychologist but I do know that our mind can block things out. It may take a few days, a few weeks, months or even some years but do give yourself the benefit of time."
He then made a sour face. "Freeport 5. Such an awful place to live. Radiation and some of the villainy of Sirius hang there." He then chuckled, "Beyond visiting my medical staff there or a load of plasfoam conduits, I seldom go there. I have a Med Force cruiser drop in to keep a check on personnel and supplies there."
He looked at the cat again, now curled into a little ball at her feet. "Cats are great and in some way like dogs. They love us unconditionally and they know nothing of our problems or at least, they do not care."
Michelle then returned with the tea. Doc elevated the back of the bed up to more of a sitting position. "If this is too uncomfortable, let us know. For now, I have rounds to make. Michelle will stay with you for a bit longer." With a tap of the rail, Doc left the room, leaving Sonja, Michelle, a cat and a cup of tea alone.
She looks at Doc and tries to give him a Smile but it looks more sad than happy. "you are Right and maybe it's better when I don't remember everything, what I saw so far was Scary enough." she sighed and looks down at Niki the Litle one was Exhausted, she must have had so many worries about Sonja in the Last Weeks, but she was still at her Side. that made Sonja Smile, and this time it was a Happy one as she looks down at the Furrball. "she always was a Special one, I Found her after my Side Job as I was Still in School, I worked in a Diner Near the Docks and on my way Home I heard Nikis Meow out of a Crate." she Smiled and the cat's ears twitched in its sleep as she heard her name. "she was on a Corsair Ship as a stowaway, as the Capitan Found her he was really Angry. but I couldn't leave that Litle Kitten alone so I Gave him 3000 Credits I had Saved for Colledge, and as she saw me she Imidiatly Came to me and felt at home." she smiled and a Tear runs down her Face as this Happy Memory Returned to her.
as Michelle Returned with the Tea and Doc Left them she looked at the Nurse and gave her a Shy Smile. "why did he Help me? i....... I remember that I was almost Dead, I felt how I got weaker and weaker and I expected to die. but he didn't give me up, he Safed my Life, and I don't even know why?" She looked confused, she didn't know why but she doesn't know good men Like him. With Michelle's help, she Drank from the Tea in Litle Sips and it Felt so Good.

"He saved you because that's who John Holliday is," Michelle quickly replied. "In a day and age where many a medical professional uses their talents for other than honorable purposes, he take his oath seriously. He doesn't care what side of the law you walk on, who you work for or even if someone is his enemy to him, everyone bleeds red. You needed help and he had it to give."
She sounded a little stern when making the statement. So many times people questioned his motives, as if he was trying to get something in return. She wasn't the only staff member to make the explanation to someone.
She smiled lightly. "Anyone he trains he does so in his own image so it's that reason he takes on so few interns himself."
She again helped Sonja with her tea before taking a sip of her own water. She then sighed. "At times, I think he does too much for others and nothing for himself. I know that since his wife died that he has been quite reclusive and depressed."
She then smiled a bit and leaned into Sonja, "But if ever you get to hear him play his piano, oh my God is that something worth taking in."
She then looked at Niki. "A Corsair cat, huh?" asked Michelle. She then looked back to Sonja. "A true act of kindness indeed to save the poor creature."
She then settled on the bed rail a bit, "So, what did you want to go to college for?"
Sonja looked a bit embarrassed and her face became a bit Red. she looked Down at Niki. "I am sorry if it sounded too Sceptic, I don't know why but I think I haven't got to Know many Good Men in my Life so far. it was Mostly Niki and me against the Rest of the World I think." after the Cat had heard her name she moved up and Laid down between Michelle and Sonja so she could get attention from Both, Sonja didn't take long before she falls to her Cuteness and started to Caress her. she was Rewarded with a Happy Purring. "I am sorry to hear that he had Lost his Wife, I was really sad as my Grandma Died too." she made a face when some of the memories of her grandmother came back.
Sonja was thankful to Michelle for the Help as she felt still a bit Weak, she tried to give her a Thankful Smile but wasn't sure if it was a Success. "I would Like to hear him Play. but I fear I don't Know what a Piano is, or at least that memory hasn't Returned to me yet." the Cat Stretched her Legs and one of her Paws hits Michelles Arm, It's a Careful Touch that just said "Touch me" a Clear invitation to Cuddle her.
Sonja takes another Sip from the Tea with Michelle's help and tried to remember what she wanted to study, it took her a while and some Power to grab the Memory out of the Darkness. "I wasn't sure back then, I had some Different Disciplines into Consideration." she made a Sour Face as another Memory came back as well. "But then he asked me to become his wife and gave up my Study Plans." She sighed and takes another sip from the Tea "now I think it was the Worst Decision in my Life." she sighed as she thinks about it she still can't remember the name of her Husband but it might be better that way. "If I could Turn back the Time I think I would like to Study something that Helps the People."

Michelle smiled. "Well, if one day you ever want to learn something to help people, this is the place....the organization to do it in. People from all over Sirius and Gallia have come here. It's quite something to see, say, a Gallic and a Bretonian drinking together in their off time while their countryfolk are fighting on the battlefield. Not everyone agree with their government's ideas. The rule is as simple to staff as it is to the patients themselves, you put difference aside when you're hear and most do."
She sighs and makes a long face, "But for those who can't and those these are rare cases, they are dealt with on a case by case basis."
She perks up a bit, "But if that is what you wish, to help others, John can begin the process."
Michelle examine her wounds again, in particular, the large gash on her head and her stomach. They had been healing for two weeks now and were doing rather well. The dressings needed little changing.
"The autosuture is something we love around here," she commented, "it does in a short time what took surgeons time before in closing people's wounds and it does it with almost no scar. You have to look for it to find it."
She assisted Sonja with the tea. "I was never married," stated Michelle. "Engaged yes, married no. I never found the right man for that as my ex was much like your now ex."
She put the tea cup on the table next to them. "My only regret to this point is that I never had children. I mean, I could if I wanted to but not alone I won't."
Sonja looked at her and smiled as she said that she could Study here, but then she made a Confused Face. "But I don't have any money, or at least I think I don't have, I can't remember." she looks down on Niki and made a light Smile. "maybe Niki and I could Work to Earn a Study?" she Cuddles her Cat and gives her lots of Love as she thinks about it. she would love to Help Woman Like herself. and she was thankful to Michelle that she Told her about that Option.
Sonja was Suprised as she heard about a War in Bretonia, did she not Heard about it, or did she had Forgotten about it like so many Other things. "I don't think I would Break the Peace here. but I think I should Inform me about What Happened in the Last Years, either I Have Forgotten it like so much, or I Never heard about it." She didn't know how she should feel about this but she couldn't do anything about that right now so it may be a Problem for Later.
as Michelle Checked her Wounds and the Process of her Healing Sonja Blushed, she liked the Nurse but that was something she wasn't used to. but she was happy that it wasn't Doc Holliday that does this, she knew he was a Good Man but she doesn't Felt Ready to be Touched by a Man. and as Mischelle told her that she experienced the same as Sonja she was Suprised "I am sorry to hear that, but seeing you gives me Hope. you look so Strong, and you help Others. I hope I can make it too." she smiled at Michelle and took her hand, she liked the Nurse she had a Warm and Friendly Personality and Sonja felt Safe and Secure with her. "I hope you will Find the Right one, I think you would be a Great Mother. and I hope I will be able to Trust someone again one day Like this."

Michelle was pulling the blanket over Sonja when she came out with the comment of her being a good mother. She gave a blushing snicker, "Well thank you. At this point of my life, I'll probably never find out but I'm OK with that." Before she could say more, the room comm sounded.
"Michelle, you have a nurse's meeting in about 5 minutes."
"Copy," replied Michelle after tapping the badge on her coat.
She made a long face. "I'm sorry but I have to leave you for a bit. John, err, Dr. Holliday should be along soon." With that, Michelle left, securing the door behind her. For at least awhile, Sonja was alone in the room with her cat although safely alone.
While Doc's patient load wasn't large on the base, he had the cases that most wouldn't touch. He also got intercepted a lot by staff and comms from outside the station so his hour's worth of rounds became 3 or 4 hours worth of rounds. Since Sonja was safe and stable, it enabled him to focus on his bad cases. He and Dr. Brandt had a chance to confer about Sonja's case as well. Finally, after a long 3 hour round, he came back into Sonja's room. All was quiet to include the sleeping Sonja and Niki at her feet. Trying not to disturb her, he was examining the repaired orbital bone around her eye with a deep scanner.
He was satisfied with her progress. Taking a seat in a chair not far from her, he started updating her file.
