Bonjour, I hope this finds you well.
With the recent raids in Orleanais, I hope you're starting to notice our forces helping your men in your quest for Council tech. Of course we're more than happy to help our friends when you need it, sticking it to the royalist dogs in disguise is always on our table. The raids, bombings, fights, Martinique, our alliance has been tested and proven. But despite this, we could do more with extra firepower. I have a business proposition, if you're willing to listen.
I won't lie, I've had some of you pegged for softies and opportunists, but damn it if you didn't earn a lot of my respect with your sheer brutality in getting things done on Orlenais. It felt like we joined you there, not the other way around in luring out the local defensed by striking the civilians!
And you name it - we are looking to spread out the Union's attention and throw the sniffing GNI agents off the scent of our massive heist operation.

Boucher.
I doubt we come off as moderates and "softies" you say, since the beginning Les Salopards have been ruthless in our methods. You could say we aren't that different, us and the Maquis.
But that's not the point. We need more firepower. We have our Ascos and Jaguar swarms that do the job, but bigger is better. We're willing to make a proposal. A destroyer, leased by the Maquis, under my command. We'll pay your price and fly it with your men, your goals will be our goals while the destroyer is in the field. I know capitals are in short supply so we're willing to wait. Whether one's recovered, stolen, repaired, or is one that's in working order now, it doesn't matter. We can do the legwork if we have to.

You hit the nail on the head
People flying capital ships are a bit annoying let's face it - with their boring discipline, oil guzzling engines and constant need for maintenance. Add to that the damn ex-Council people always whining about our non-existent logistics for their fancy ships they brought with them and you have one hell of a nightmare.
Our production is slow, very very slow. So is maintenance - but we are trying to change the latter by bolstering Roussillon, works are heavily underway.
The thing I cannot give you is lease or make you an existing cruiser from our posession. You need to understand our situation - our movement never had capital ships, only recently we have built up one facility and acquired several key vessels. Even the ones that are not fully operational are needed for training of our Maquisards. Each and every one of them can tell you 100 intricate ways to blow up or assasinate a royalist family, but are like oblivious teenagers when it comes to capital ships the ex-Councilmen are trying to teach them how to operate.
Trust
However, you are correct. Salopards are just about the only people we trust fully. In fact we trust you so much we could let you into our facility that we guard so closely we have shot down many of our own to make sure it's not discovered.
There are Sirians that would like to use it, I am sure the Corsicans would too - but it's only you who'd we allow in there, the repair capacity is rarely full for those reasons.
This is where you come in
Find your cruiser vessel - it doesn't have to be ex-Council, or even Gallic - we have acquired thousands of tonnes of Sirian ship hull panels and many other materials from 3rd parties. The leftover Kusari military salvage we can't patch Gallic tech with can be used also. It can be badly banged up, as long as there is a frame to operate in and chance of re-pressurisation I am sure our Lorraine facility can be of assistance to you.
When you acquire such vessel let us know, and we will do our best to make it operational!

I'm a little disappointed, but not surprised.
We know your capital supply is low right now, I wasn't holding my breath on getting one out of the gate. Our supply chain isn't suited for capitals, but we do have our vines everywhere and can get anything we need. We'll find one though, a Gallic one. I can't stand the sight of Sirian ships, even if we had contacts to get one from. The classic Laurent Method will have to do, it's messy but effective.
Your trust isn't misplaced. We trust you just as much, which is why you were included on the Martinique project. I'll make sure only myself and my bodyguards are aware of this place. Once we find our new toy I'll let you know.

Speaking of which
Let's talk Martinique - The Corsicans have been of great help, but it seems our repairs are still behind schedule.
We have recently had good experience with a group called Fae Mercenaries. We don't trust them fully yet and I won't vouch for them personally - but when it comes to helping with supplies maybe you can give them a call, see if they'd be willing to help for some money. They are incredibly efficient and discreet indeed. Maybe they can help with your search for a cruiser - they seem to get information we can't touch ourselves - including discovering a hidden union Battlecruiser in Tau-44 we had no clue about!
As a side note - I really would like more second opinions on them, we so far only worked with them in Roussillon we firmly control - maybe you dealing with them could increase our confidence. Whether you reveal the location of Martinique to them is entirely up to you - we will do no such thing without you going ahead first.
Boucher, I don't think any of my men have encountered these mercenaries. If they are as helpful as you say I would have no problem with bringing them on board, but their presence in our area isn't enough to trust them yet.
As for the cruiser, we've been in luck. We bribed some Corse pilots to get some rough idea of where to find certain ships at certain times. We were able to ambush one and give it the Laurent Special. A Penance, you should be familiar with them. It has a few holes in it but we're close to having it be movable, but not ready for combat. I have a few propositions for you. Lavars and Beaumont don't have the means to fix a ship this big, and none of our men are trained for anything bigger than an Asco or l'Ane. We bring the Penance to Verdun and pay for the repairs. Once it's done, I'll pay for you to have my men trained. In the meantime, you can add the ship to your fleet and have it work for whatever plans you have up your sleeves.
We need your help to get this thing operational. What do you think?
The Front is currently focusing it's logistical provess elsewhere - Verdun's capacity will be ready for you. Salopards are just about the only non-Maquis faction I would try with it's location. One issue though - we are redirecting most of our materials towards out troubled project in Roussillon - I am sure Salopards won't mind hauling the panels, alloys and others to Verdun will they? You can use Martinique and the salvage Junkers have been getting for us for parts.
And we will have a massive job for non-Front Maquisards, Brigands, and all alies (and some even not so allied people) in Lorraine soon. While we will be occupied elsewhere I might add. Your help will be appreciated greatly!
I am sure it will be a great exercise for your people to get acquainted with the vessel with Maquisards' help in Lorraine.
As to Fae - well we are putting them to the test tomorrow against the Royalists, and then they want to assault a vital Gallic Navy asset afterwards. I suppose if both projects go well we can start trusting them even with vital assets like Martinique.
