We take quality control very seriously, and strive to be an official faction that can measure up to the high standards of Liberty lawful factions we respect and that helped inspire us - [LN], 5th, =LSF=, LPI- and [LIA], while building our own unique niche in modus operandi and in-game activities.
In line with this and after valuable feedback of @Kauket we have taken disciplinary action against the pilot Bravo-2 in a true 46th Fleet fashion.
The pilot has been reminded about our high standards, understand them and has been ordered by the concensus of High Command to perform 20 punitive patrols around the Pennsylvania system.
Our Mentees, Tentative Recruits, Recruits and even Ensigns make mistakes and that is how they learn, that is part of the process. But Bravo-2 has been with us for a long time and needs to lead by example. And he has done just that. Bravo-2's commitment to the Fleet and Discovery Freelancer is so high that not only he accepted the punishment, but out of his own initiative he has decided to not use tradelanes - unprompted, and has set an example for the rest of the Fleet in terms of commitment to quality going forward.
Once again - we appreciate your feedback, you help make the 46th Fleet better, and allow us to better contribute to the immersion and enjoyment of the players of Liberty that get to interact with us.
After reviewing your activity and contributions over the past few months, we have decided to offer 46th| Fleet, Officialdom. Please post an ID & sub-forum request, and we'll get them up and running.
Congratulations.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person
1) Our amazing and commited members
2) Everyone who helped shaped the faction and has moved on/retired - most still stick around in some capacity and I am grateful
3) All those that logged to shoot us, interact with us on the enemy side, or traded in Liberty and gave us stuff to do
4) Everyone who joined our discord, events, RP missions etc etc.
5) Staff members that assisted us, most notably Kage
6) And the biggest and fattest congratulations, kudos and thanks goes to @James Horatio Creed. The way you are passionate about the faction, how you work hard, your wilingness to listen and let others help you shape the faction and most importantly how you managed to change over the recent months to a radically calmer leader we can all look up to are a true inspiration.
We have been through many ups and down, with many more ups and downs, dark and amazing times, mistakes and achievements no doubt on the horizon, for now let us celebrate that the 46th Fleet against all odds is now a Discovery Freelancer Official Faction!
In all fairness I could not have done any of this without the whole support of the High Command and also the full support of many of the members that I have turned to in the last few months.
This faction will now grow and will improve in every aspect of its official status.
Thanks to the staff of Disco for this opportunity to shine
@Blake Wayne Van Leer said it quite right above and from me, personally, would like to thank everyone for their feedback. For those that have helped in any way to make what the 46th currently is and will continue to evolve in what we will become. For those that have given us fights, role-play opportunities. For your camaraderie and sense of community spirit. In sharing and highlighting our flaws and for giving us opportunity to improve. For standing by us, alongside in space or even against us.
It's been a long road travelled and it's been bumpy at times, but we got there, by no small part of the above.
On behalf of the entire Fleet and especially from me - Thank you all!
