It was a rather uneventful day for a Rheinlandic squadron of the Fae's when they encountered something that they did not expect. At the start, they just noticed a disturbance within the voids they were patrolling but as quickly as they noticed it it was gone again. This happened several times over the course of a few days. When the Squadron leader Ouroboros decided to investigate those disturbances a bit closer by monitoring several different EM frequencies and Radiation levels. After a while of closing in and losing those signals again and again they noticed a pattern. Every Fourth time the signal vanishes it reappears always at a similar location. It almost looks like the signals move also at a random interval. Sometimes it takes only a few minutes to move and sometimes a few hours. Sadly their squadron was unable to identify any of those signals for a matter of days.
Their leader Ouroboros decided it was at the time to consult the elder council and present them with all the data they were able to gather. Most of those signals appeared to be simple distorted EMFs that gave false readings on the rather old scanners that the squadron had at the time of the discovery. The Elders decided on rather short notice to task Ouroboros and her best squadron members to find and analyze those incoming signals. For that, the elders gave the squadron a rather early gift by installing newer and better scanners on each of their ships. With those scanners, it was only a matter of time to locate and predict the next arrival of the signal source. But what they did not know is what to expect. Was it just a malfunctioning satellite, or was it just a void anomaly that they haven't encountered yet? It was most certainly unknown to them for the time being.

It hasn't been long since we updated the council about those disturbances. But we are already making progress. Not a major step but at least we can say now that it defenitly is a human made signal.
We also took notice that for some reason some of the signals are relayed to Thurungia. We can't pin point anything for sure but we are slowly gaining on the relay point. Yet we can't say if this is any point of interest, but it is our only true physical point that we can adress so far.
We will keep this channel updated and upload new progress for this matter straight away.

So we are making slow day by day progress. We managed to identify the signal but still have not found the receiving end of it. "DHSGDQ KDZUD SGD UNHCR NE NTQ GNLD NQ XNTQR VHKK EZBD CDRSQTBSHNM" Apparently this is the encoded message that gets sent to the relay point. We are unsure what this code means but we will eventually figure it out.
We were also able to further close in on the receiving end of this transmission. Apparently, it has the size of a fighter craft and by it rather slow movements it is probably inactive. We haven't been able to pinpoint any specific location so far but it seems to be within Salzungennebel. We try our best so far to find the location of it but the metal dust and gases all around us make it a little more complicated to find it than it needs to be.

So we made some progress regarding the relay in thurungia. After a while we managed to close in fairly quick once we figured out how to let the signal echo back from its sender. We just used the signal strength as indication of proximity.
Anyhow, it wasn't a satelite at all not even some drone. It was an "abonded" wraith. We figured we might as well dispose of what was left inside the ship.. on the first glance there seems nothing that seems outstanding on such a ship. Well, not for our kind atleast. We tried to get some data from its board systems to see if there might was something left that could hint its origin. Whoever used that ship before his death was very clean with his datawipes. We might have to ask mother for her help in this matter.
However, the good thing about this is that we now can pinpoint from which system those signals get sent. The only question is how useful will that knowledge be if the signal we first got was almost the same.. We will still lack behind whoever is sending those signals.. since we got the more adjacent frequencies to search for the origin we are able to pinpoint the system it got sent from. So basicly if we can't predict the future we most likely will only find it with luck.

We finally made progress and apparently mother was right once again. After the last update, we went to visit mother and we have shown her all the data we were able to gather. She already guessed that it would be something that was lost a long time ago but it was unclear what she was able to sense.
Anyhow, after the last log we continued to monitor the signals and keep track of the positions it had when it sent the signal. After countless tries to simulate the chaos from which those signals came from we realized something, that somehow has hidden within plain sight. How could mother sense something if it was just a regular signal? It was at this point that it struck ours. Maybe it has never been a recon task but rather a task of the purity within us. After this point, we started to go into some sort of meditation. We used a technique that our mother taught ours. She always said that one with true harmony could even become a greater light than herself yet that little light has to be found first. Anyway, we were able to explore the vast mindscape with ease and heard many songs of despair as well as songs of hope and warmth. But there was one song that has not left us alone since. It was an old one, a song of terror and hate. It somehow reminded me of the first regular signals we received.
We were soon able to discover from what this message was sent from and it was nothing that ours have seen before.

So we were finally able to locate and identify the signal source. As we thought it is a human-made structure in those means. Well, at least most of it is still human-made. Mother has told us about this ship but even she herself was only able to witness the destructive power of this hybrid once. She even told us the story of how this ship appeared in the Hudson void and created so much chaos that not even the house governments surrounding that void had a chance to withstand or even intervene. It is without question that such a force would be very helpful to our cause. Yet we still have a major problem.
According to our mother, the Relic was last seen in a battle around an unstable anomaly before it disappeared and the anomaly also vanished with it. It is unsure what really happened in those moments but we suspect that the Relic was somehow caught in the anomaly and is now either stuck or fused together with it. For all, we currently know the ship has the callsign RNC-Schiller and that it somehow jumps on its own accord without any life signs on board. We also managed to get a good look at the outer hull damage and other damaged parts that are on the outside. It appears that one of the reactor chambers is completely breached and leaks through a giant hole on its right flank. In theory, if we would manage to catch up we could use it as an entry point but the question is more if that would end well if we just send our kind straight in.
What we had in mind currently as our next steps is rather straightforward. First, we want to precise our triangulations so we can predict more accurately where the ship could appear next. Second, we need to try and gain more information about what is happening on board the ship and if there are still some left alive or if the ship is completely empty. Third, we will have to gain access and get hands-on with whatever is wrong with it. But for that, we will need the help of the other sections and maybe from some of our allies. For now, this is all. We will update this log once we have gained more information about this relic.

We have some good news. Thanks to mother's help we are now able to triangulate the position of the jumps of the Schiller with an accuracy of 78%. For now, it should be good enough. Currently, we try to find out if the ship has an installed jumpdrive or if the assumptions of our mother are correct. The only issue with that is that we can't really figure that out until we send some personnel in. The problem with that is the obvious risk with it involved. And we don't want to use any of our slaves. For the obvious reason, we don't want to even think about the possibility of them gaining control over any part of the ship systems.
The other thing that we would like to point out is the lack of efficiency if we first try to figure it out and then find a solution. It would obviously be the most cost-effective and precise way but on the other hand, it would take a lot more time. This is why we propose to create solutions beforehand and take them aboard with the first team that will analyze the situation aboard the ship. Let us clarify.
Solution A:
There is currently a Jumpdrive device of unknown kind installed aboard the schiller. The said drive is heavily malfunctioning. Powering down all systems attached to it and taking it off the grid would be the first steps as it would be unknown at the time if the drive would survive any more jumps. We would also have to repair the breached reactor or completely swap it for a nomad Powercell to generate enough power to bring this ship to a shipyard. Secondary steps would be to dismantle the landing ships to temporarily repair the breached hull parts until the ship can be safely moored at a shipyard.
Solution B:
There is currently no Jumpdrive device installed and the ship itself is caught in the anomaly that it disappeared with supposedly. In that case, we would have to find a way to catalyze the anomaly to either stop it from intervening with the ship or to even control it we think that this could be achieved through a catalyst from one of the elders. We would also have to repair the breached hull and the reactor with this solution so the materials only vary a bit.
Solution C:
None of the other solutions work and the ship remains stuck with said anomaly or damaged jumpdrive. In that case, we would have to request help from the elders. We would also most likely have to abandon the ship and let it continue its course and wait till it either stops by itself or see if it destroys itself in the process.
Materials required: Landingships, Crew, Engineers
We think if we are sufficiently prepared we should be able to tame whatever is going on in there. We will contact the elders to request mission approval and start preparation. We will also have to ask mother if she is able to bring us a catalyst if not we have to find another solution.
From: Ouroboros To: "An Ancient Relic" Source: Cargo ship Fossegrim, Thurungia Log #7
We are making good progress. We got notice from mother that all the materials have been delivered and we are currently picking up the last few cargo containers and moved them to a secure location were the landingships are already getting prepared for the next step.
However, we still have not heard from mother or the elders about the cataclyst. We don't know yet if it is even possible for ours to recieve one. If not we will have to search for an alternative solution. We had the idea to use a human equivalent but it is unsure if that would even have the intended effect. For now we just have to hope for a blessing from the elders.
We were also able to get a repair ship from the viperè division for the repair of the hull. It is truely amazing to watch our brothers and sisters grow. Anyhow, we will later have to get into contact with the raven and her family to see if we could use their shipyard for a few days depending on the damages aboard the ship.
From: Ouroboros To: "An Ancient Relic" Source: RNC-Schiller, ??? Log #8
We are finaly aboard the ship. We also went ahead and searched through the whole ship to see if there are any of our brethrens still alive. Sadly by now we only have found one person who seems to be in a cryosleep and the systems won't allow us to wake him up. It almost appears as if it was locked forever on purpose. We stationed a team of medics and engineers to work on the opening of the cryosleep chamber.
However, this may be a bit of an oddity but it is not what is of most concern to us. After the first inital scans most systems seem to be intact. But there is still a lot that we have to think about. Reactor chamber 2 which also houses an exeperimental fissionreactor and a rather large sized hole have been compromised and need repairs asap to atleast bring the ship to a working condition. Now for the more difficult part.
As it stays right now the anomaly has something to do with the fission reactor. We have a few materials with us to atleast shut it down safely and do some very basic maintaince. We are currently unsure if we are able to restart chamber 2 with those basic repairs. We will soon have to ask mother if she is able to ask the raven if we could use their shipyard or not. Once we have shutdown chamber two and made some progress we will once again update the logs.
From: Ouroboros To: "An Ancient Relic" Source: RNC-Schiller, ??? Log #9
We are making slow and steady progress. Since we stopped the reactor chamber two completely the anomaly has stopped too. We are still unsure of what caused all of this but it seems that they had to decide between shutting down the reactor without enough replacement devices for the other cores which could have killed every person aboard, or they deemed the ship to be not worthy of saving due to its malfunctioning core and the unstable anomaly.
According to mother, the auxesian allowed us to lease their shipyard for a few days to get the ship at least into a somewhat ready state so we can bring it to its next destination. Once we finally arrive in Inverness we can start to assess the damage in and around the ship so we at least know what we are dealing with on a hardware level. Because right now it feels more like walking in the dark with sunglasses on.
